ROUNDUP: Gray, Chaparral girls outlast Jaguars in double overtime

Octavia Gray had 27 points, 14 rebounds, five blocked shots and four steals, and Chaparral outscored host Desert Pines 22-8 in the second overtime Thursday to secure a 102-88 win.

Gray had 13 points in the two overtimes.

Unique Wilson and Tichina Savoy each supplied 20 points for the Cowboys, and teammate Marcia Hawkins chipped in 11 of her 15 points in the two overtimes. 

Desert Pines tied the game with 6.5 seconds remaining in regulation, but started the second overtime with only three players on the floor because of disqualifications.

Cydney Myles scored 35 points for the Jaguars, which got 22 points and 15 rebounds from Raven Thomas. 

Bonanza 55, Cimarron-Memorial 53 —
At Bonanza, Trane’e Jenkins had 19 points and nine rebounds to help the Bengals edge the Spartans.

Alyssa Powers added 11 poins, six rebounds and five steals for Bonanza, which got 10 points from Saniah Simpson.

The Bengals held on despite making just 12 of 31 free throws.

Emily Cox led Cimarron with 17 points, and had a potential game-winning 3-pointer rim out as time expired.

Ikia Daniels scored 14 points and Shauntel Efferson 11 for the Spartans.

Mojave 31, Pahrump Valley 27 — At Pahrump, Dennisha Atkins scored 14 points, and sank a late free throw for the game’s final margin to give the Rattlers a win over the Trojans.

Rayena Rael added 10 points for Mojave, which used a 11-6 second quarter to pull away.

Shayla Dance led Pahrump with nine points.

Centennial 68, Desert Oasis 31 — At Desert Oasis, Teirra Hicks scored 11 points to help the Bulldogs top the Diamondbacks.

Paige Barber and Jada Brown each added 10 points for Centennial.

Sammi Tso led Desert Oasis with six points.

Boulder City 61, Virgin Valley 46 —
At Boulder City, Whitney Barlow scored 25 points to help the Eagles top the Bulldogs.

Mallory Bird added 10 points, and Katlyn Daly had six assists and seven steals for the Eagles.

Moapa Valley 58, Sunrise Mountain 39 — At Sunrise Mountain, Kimberly Lewis scored 15 points, and teammate Shelbie Gray supplied 14 points to lead the Pirates over the Miners.

Emily Mills contributed 11 points for Moapa Valley, which used a 14-1 second quarter to pull away.

Brittany Veal had  22 points and seven steals for Sunrise Mountain, which got 10 rebounds from Ayla Diaz.

Bishop Gorman 47, Legacy 20 —
At Bishop Gorman, April Rivers scored 15 points, and Raychel Stanley added 14 points to help power the Gaels past the Longhorns.

Tonishia Childress supplied 10 points for BIshop Gorman, which raced out to a 28-11 halftime lead.

Lelanie White led Legacy with nine points.

Cheyenne 47, Western 31 —
At Cheyenne, Larice Harper scored 17 points to lead the Desert Shields over the Warriors.

Capricia Pierce scored 10 points for Western.
