Head coach: Stuart Humes

2012-13 record: 15-11 (8-4 Sunrise, third)

Top players: Makayla Jackson (Jr.), Makendie Frei (Sr.), Emily Mills (Sr.)

Outlook: The Pirates were only a game behind first-place Boulder City in the Sunrise League last year, but lost four seniors.

Humes said he will look to Jackson, Frei and Mills for leadership and scoring.

“We have a few young players on the roster,” Humes said. “I’m really excited about this group. They have high character and are hard-working. My girls are aware of the challenges ahead of them and are preparing themselves every day to compete for a region championship.”
