GIRLS BASKETBALL: Turney, Falcons rally to top Skyline

Taylor Turney scored 13 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter Saturday to help Foothill’s girls basketball team rally for a 57-52 win over Skyline (Utah) in the Las Vegas Invitational at Bishop Gorman.

The Falcons trailed 35-32 entering the fourth quarter but made 13 of 15 free throws in the final quarter to grab the victory.

Kelsey McFarland had eight of her 16 points in the fourth quarter for Foothill, which committed only 11 turnovers in the game.

Hillary Weixler led the Eagles with 16 points and 10 rebounds, and teammate Olivia Elliss scored 10 points.

Bishop Gorman 62, Hanford (Calif.) 39 — At Gorman, Maddison Washington and Raychel Stanley each scored 21 points to lead the Gaels by the Bullpups in the Las Vegas Invitational.

Megan Jacobs added seven points and 15 rebounds for Gorman, which never trailed.

Brooke Johnson had 14 points, and Madison Barnes added 13 points for Hanford, which made just 15 of 60 field goals, including a 6-for-27 effort on 3-pointers.

North Valleys 51, Agassi Prep 39 — At Agassi Prep, Stephanie Lyons scored 18 points to lead the Panthers over the Stars.

Sami Dinan added 13 points for North Valleys.

Javoulaee Green had nine points and 14 rebounds to pace Agassi Prep.
