GIRLS BASKETBALL: Thrower helps Canyon Springs girls rally by Silverado

Alexia Thrower scored all of her 28 points in the final three quarters Wednesday to help Canyon Springs' girls basketball team rally for a 62-55 win at Silverado.

Thrower had 19 points in the second half to help the Pioneers rally from a 30-19 halftime deficit.

Dayonna Maddox added 14 points for Canyon Springs, which made 21 of 32 free throws. Silverado was just 4 of 12 from the line.

Jillian Kinsella and Deja Siaki each had 15 points for the Skyhawks.

Las Vegas 55, Valley 48 — At Valley, Teconna Dyer scored 21 points to help the Wildcats hold off the Vikings.

Bianca Matlock added 14 points for Las Vegas, which led 34-21 at halftime.

Sandra Scroggins tallied 17 points, and Jeuzel Pollins scored 10 for Valley.

Foothill 59, Green Valley 51 — At Foothill, Kaylee Hall scored seven of her 12 points during a 22-11 second-quarter run that lifted the Falcons by the Gators.

Trinity Betoney had 17 points and eight rebounds, and Kylie Vint added nine points and 11 rebounds for Foothill.

Ellee Barton had 20 points to lead Green Valley, and teammate Brooke Haney added 16 points.

Rancho 40, Basic 24 — At Rancho, Tatianna Lee scored 15 points to guide the Rams by the Wolves.

Maureen Macato added nine points, and teammate Samantha Pochop grabbed nine rebounds for Rancho, which used a 15-4 second quarter spurt to take control.

Happy Butler led Basic with 15 points.

Coronado 60, Eldorado 43 — At Coronado, Haley Tyrell had 22 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals to help the Cougars top the Sundevils.

Payton Caci added 15 points and six rebounds for Coronado, which broke the game open with a 25-6 third quarter spurt.

DeAsia Walker scored 23 points to lead Eldorado, and teammate Daria Lomasney added 10 points.

Arbor View 61, Bonanza 14 — At Bonanza, Kera Farmer and Autumn Westmoreland each had 10 points to help the Aggies run away from the Bengals.

Katrina Nordstrom added eight points for Arbor View, which led 37-14 at the half and finished the game on a 24-0 run.

Nicole Chaffin-Corbin had six points for Bonanza.

Centennial 72, Desert Oasis 24 — At Centennial, Samantha Thomas was 12 of 15 from the field and finished with 32 points and seven rebounds as the Bulldogs routed the Diamondbacks.

Sarah Kruthaupt had 13 points for Centennial, which led 51-21 at the half and 72-24 after three quarters before the teams played a scoreless fourth quarter.

Taryn Lampkin scored eight points for Desert Oasis.
