GIRLS BASKETBALL: Peek’s triple-double helps Mustangs edge Mountain View

Marcella Peek had 25 points, 21 rebounds and 10 blocked shots to lead The Meadows girls basketball team to a 50-44 win over visiting Mountain View on Saturday.

Kaiya Massey added 10 rebounds for the Mustangs.

Tayah De'Bouck had 20 points, and Mia Shingles scored 15 for the Saints.

Beaver Dam 43, Tonopah 37 — At Littlefield, Arizona, Jailene Hernandez had 28 points to help the Diamondbacks edge the Muckers in a battle for the No. 4 seed in the Division IV Southern League playoffs.

Mari Sandoval added eight points for Beaver Dam, which trailed 19-7 just past the midway point of the second quarter.

Ally Otero led Tonopah with 11 points.

Laughlin 55, Calvary Chapel 36 — At Laughlin, Lori Morgan had 18 points to lead the Cougars by the Lions.

Teresa Chapa added 12 points, and Brittany Schelper scored 11 for Laughlin, which led 33-13 at the half.

Malia Lee led Calvary Chapel with 25 points.
