GIRLS BASKETBALL: Martin, Rancho top Eldorado to clinch playoff spot

LaKissa Martin scored 19 points Monday as Rancho’s girls basketball team clinched the final Southeast League berth for the Sunrise Region playoffs with a 55-38 win at Eldorado.

Tatiana Lee added 10 points for the Rams, who led 32-12 at the half, and moved two games ahead of Eldorado for fourth place in the league with one game left.

Daria Lomasney and Deasia Walker each had 10 points for the Sundevils.

Foothill 58, Coronado 48 — At Coronado, Taylor Turney had 26 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and the Falcons outscored the Cougars 31-21 in the second half to secure the Southeast League title.

Mikayla Yeakel added 14 points and eight rebounds for Foothill.

Cimarron-Memorial 60, Bonanza 37 — At Cimarron, Ashli Tyus had 22 points and eight assists to lead the Spartans over the Bengals.

Shauntel Efferson added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Cimarron, used a 16-6 third-quarter run to blow the game open. Niara Smith and Amoura Whitney each scored 10 points for the Spartans.

Alyssa Powers scored 25 points to lead Bonanza.

Faith Lutheran 53, Mojave 22 — At Mojave, Haley Vinson scored 19 points to lead the Crusaders past the Rattlers.

Faith Lutheran blew the game open with a 24-6 second-quarter run.

Keyara Lemon scored 12 points to lead Mojave.

Green Valley 55, Basic 25 — At Basic, Yamilei Rodriguez scored 19 points to lead the Gators in a rout over the Wolves.

Ellee Barton scored 15 points for Green Valley, which led 31-15 at the half.

Liberty 62, Silverado 22 — At Liberty, Kealy Brown had 14 points and 12 steals as the Patriots blasted the Skyhawks.

Paris Strawther added 13 points, 14 rebounds and had seven steals, and Aubre Fortner had 11 points for Liberty, which jumped out to a 28-4 first-quarter lead and never looked back.

Monet Salazar scored eight points to lead Silverado.

Canyon Springs 71, Valley 32 — At Canyon Springs, Alexia Thrower had 19 points, and the Pioneers rolled past the Vikings.

Keanue Washington scored 17 points for Canyon Springs, which led 30-11 at the half and outscored Valley 27-3 in the fourth quarter.

Hannah Geberyesus led Valley with 16 points.

Lake Mead 62, Adelson School 25 — At Lake Mead, Savannah Schmidt scored 28 points as the Eagles routed the Lions.

Josey White scored 19 points for Lake Mead, which was tied with Adelson at 13 after the first quarter.

Tamar Tecktiel led Adelson with 10 points.
