Returning letter winners: Five

Top players: G Mandy Chitwood (Sr.), F Cherise Beynon (Jr.), F Daijhan Cooks (So.), G LaKiya Yarber (So.)

Outlook: Beynon averaged 14.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game last season, and is one of the top returnees in Southern Nevada.

Chitwood scored at an 8.2-ppg clip, and Cooks and Yarber both contributed as freshmen.

Still, the Pioneers lost three of their top five scorers, including leading scorer Pearl Paulo (15.2 ppg) to graduation.

"We have a very young team looking to compete for a playoff spot," Kendrick said.
