BASKETBALL: Doxtator, Falcons stun Centennial girls

Gabby Doxtator scored 15 points Monday to help Foothill’s girls basketball team stun host Centennial, 55-45.

Taylor Turney added 11 points, and Rae Burrell had 10 points for the Falcons, who overcame a 13-7 first-quarter deficit. Foothill was 16 of 18 from the free-throw line in the game.

Pam Wilmore led the Bulldogs with 12 points. Tanjanae Wells and Justice Ethridge each added 11 points for Centennial.

Silverado 61, Bonanza 47 — At Silverado, the Skyhawks opened the game on a 14-2 run en route to the win over the Bengals.

Deja Siaki led Silverado with 23 points, and teammate Monet Salazar scored 12.

Bonanza’s Alyssa Powers led all scorers with 26 points.

BOYS

Arbor View 52, Liberty 35 — At Liberty, Calvin Brooks had 13 points, and the Aggies used a 12-4 third-quarter run on their way to a win over the Patriots.

Trent Hunt added 12 points for Arbor View, which made 18 of 22 free throws. Liberty was 3 of 4 from the free-throw line.

Ed O’Bannon paced the Patriots with 15 points.

Bonanza 67, Silverado 51 — At Silverado, Jamal Logan had 23 points to lead the Bengals over the Skyhawks.

DaVonta Price added 19 points for Bonanza, which outscored Silverado 26-13 in the third quarter to take a 63-42 lead.

Matthew Arnold led Silverado with 13 points, and Jordan Waugh added 11 points for the Skyhawks.

Palo Verde Valley (Calif.) 43, Needles 36 — At Blythe, Calif., Kane Daniels had 13 points and Dennis Cross 12 to lead the Yellowjackets over the Mustangs.

Cody Tobler had 11 points for Needles, which was outscored 10-4 in the fourth quarter.
