Top players: G Apollo Corley (Jr.), G Mikko Balmes (Sr.), G Nino Flores (Sr.), G Christian Tirol (Sr.), F Giovanni Santana (Sr.), F Dominique Marcy (Jr.)
Outlook: Corley averaged 10.0 points per game last season and Balmes (9.0 ppg), Flores (8.0 ppg), Tirol (7.0 ppg) and Santana (6.0 ppg) also are back to contribute.
“With five returning players with significant varsity experience, we expect to compete for a playoff spot,” Ulrich said. “Four returning guards with starting experience — point guard Christian Tirol and combo guards Nino Flores, Apollo Corley and Mikko Balmes — highlight the backcourt. All four have all-league potential.
“The frontcourt adds good balance with Giovanni Santana’s ability to shoot the 3-pointer and stretch the defense and Dominique Marcy’s rebounding ability and strength inside.”
