ROUNDUP: Vozzolas lead Centennial to Cibola (Ariz.) Rotary Classic championship game

Ben Vozzola scored nine points in overtime Friday as Centennial’s boys basketball team advanced to the championship game of the Cibola Rotary Classic with a 77-71 win over Cibola (Ariz.) at Yuma, Ariz.

Vozzola had 30 points, including 26 after halftime. Ryan Vozzola added 16 points and 12 rebounds for Centennial.

Cibola made 12 3-pointers on the night.

Centennial 65, Kofa (Ariz.) 46 — At Yuma, Ariz., Aaseem Dixon scored 13 points, and Centennial used a 15-5 third-quarter burst to down Kofa in the Cibola Rotary Classic.

Ben Vozzola added 12 points for Centennial. Ryan Vozzola had 10 points, and Redell Moore came off the bench to hit two 3-pointers and finished with 10 for the Bulldogs.

Foothill 56, Cherry Creek (Colo.) 41 — At Foothill, Evan Roquemore had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Falcons past the Bruins.

Foothill led 44-25 entering the fourth quarter.

Faith Lutheran 69, Churchill County 40 — At Minden, Wade Norman scored 17 points, and the Crusaders went on a 39-12 run in the middle two quarters to down Churchill County in the Douglas Tournament.

Brett Lubbe added 15 points for Faith Lutheran.

Alta (Utah) 58, Legacy 52 — At St. George, Utah, the Hawks took a 20-13 first-quarter lead and held off the Longhorns in the Ken Robinson Classic.

Sam Johnson had 15 points and seven rebounds, and Sian Laine added 11 points and five assists for the Longhorns.

Lake Mead 67, Pahrump Valley 37 — At Mesquite, Landon Littlefield hit seven 3-pointers and finished with 35 points to lead the

Eagles past the Trojans in the Bulldog Invitational.

De’Quan Thompson added 16 points for Lake Mead.

Shane Lindemann scored 11 points for the Trojans.

Lincoln County 89, Bonanza 63 — At Mesquite, Dantley Walker scored 44 points as the Lynx downed the Bengals in the Bulldog Invitational.

Eric Rippetoe added 21 points for Lincoln County.

Dasean Martin led Bonanza with 10 points.

Virgin Valley 66, Rancho JV 18 — At Mesquite, the Bulldogs took a 22-2 lead after one quarter and led 41-4 at the half to rout

Rancho’s junior varsity in the Bulldog Invitational.

Desert Oasis 53, Moapa Valley 42 — At Mesquite, Cameron Jefferson scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Diamondbacks past the Pirates in the Bulldog Invitational.

Zach Geary led Moapa Valley with 11 points.

Boulder City 56, Parker (Ariz.) 33 — At Parker, Ariz., Greg Goodfellow led a balanced attack with 12 points as the Eagles downed Parker.

Boulder City trailed 9-5 after the first quarter, but outscored Parker, 51-24 the rest of the way.

Clovis North (Calif.) 65, Mountain View 51 — At Kingsburg, Calif., the Broncos outscored the Saints 35-17 in the second and third quarters to pull away and held on for the win in the Kingsburg Tournament.

Justyn Anderson scored 18 points, and Cortland LeBoeuf added 16 points for Mountain View.

Jay Huffman scored 15 points to lead Clovis North.

Laughlin 72, Indian Springs 40 — At Indian Springs, Andre Prosise scored 16 points and Nick Todd added 15 points as Laughlin broke open a close game in the second half and cruised past the Thunderbirds.

Laughlin outscored Indian Springs, 45-20 in the second half.

Junior Baker scored 18 points and Brock Roadhouse added 11 for Indian Springs.

Western JV 40, Tonopah 38 — At Pahrump Valley, Western’s junior varsity squad edged the Muckers in the Pahrump Valley Cage Classic.

Eddie Reynoso led the Muckers with 12 points. Denver Otteson scored 10 points, and David McGaw pulled down nine rebounds for Tonopah.

Beatty 72, Lake Mead JV 23 — At Pahrump Valley, Anthony Regalado scored 25 points as the Hornets rolled over Lake Mead’s junior varsity team in the Pahrump Valley Cage Classic.

Ivan Maldonado added 14 points for the Hornets.

Beatty 62, Round Mountain 30 — At Pahrump Valley, Regalado had 15 points as the Hornets collected their second win in the Pahrump Valley Cage Classic.

Jose Moreno added 12 points and Ramiro Hernandez scored 11 for the Hornets.

Zach Adamson led the Knights with eight points.

Pahrump Valley JV 40, Tonopah 34 — At Pahrump, the Muckers fell despite 14 points from Adam Thackery and seven points and 13 rebounds from Eddie Reynoso.
