ROUNDUP: Vozzola’s last-gasp effort helps Grizzlie boys outlast Bengals in OT

Ryan Vozzola’s three-point play with two seconds to play in overtime gave Spring Valley a 66-65 road win over Bonanza on Friday.

Vozzola finished with 22 points for the Grizzlies, who got two free throws from Shawn Feltenbeger in the final 30 seconds of regulation to force overtime.

Rahfe’l King had 19 points, and DeShaun Nowlin scored 15 for Spring Valley.

Marques Barnes and Carter Olsen each had 17 points for Bonanza, which led 47-33 going into the fourth quarter.

Ashton Howard added 15 points for the Bengals.

Green Valley 71, Silverado 58 — At Green Valley, Ikaika Pladera scored 23 points to lead the Gators past the Skyhawks.

Durrell McDonald had 17 points and nine rebounds for Green Valley, which raced to a 37-16 halftime lead.

Devan Kohn added 16 points for the Gators, and teammate Brandon Hoisington supplied seven points and 10 rebounds.

Ruben Jackson had 23 points and Justin Johnson scored 15 for Silverado, which was 16-for-29 from the free-throw line.

Coronado 71, Basic 65 — At Coronado, Michael Louder scored 22 points, and the Cougars erupted for 30 fourth-quarter points to rally past the Wolves.

Jordan Willis added 13 points and Teyshawn Campbell 12 for Coronado, which got nine points and three steals from Dominique Muhammad.

Jalen Rose had 23 points, and Devonte Boyd scored 15 for the Wolves, who led 53-41 after three quarters.

Sierra Vista 53, Western 52 — At Sierra  Vista, Sean Williams had 18 points to help the Mountain Lions edge the Warriors.

Alec DeMarrias and Wesley Rouse each added 10 points for Sierra Vista.

Nate Johnson led Western with 18 points. Melvin Weekly had 13 points, and Samuel Jamerson scored 12 for Western.

Bishop Gorman 99, Durango 75 — At Durango, Shabazz Muhammad had 42 points and 10 rebounds, and the Gaels outscored the Trailblazers 53-32 in the middle two quarters on their way to the win.

Rosco Allen had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Demetris Morant added 14 points for Gorman, which got 12 assists from Gio Guzman.

Joe Tuss paced Durango with 28 points. Tre’Vonn Wells scored 14, and Tyler Watts added 13 points for the Trailblazers.

Centennial 68, Arbor View 55 — At Arbor View, Cody Wilkes had 11 points to lead the balanced Bulldogs past the Aggies.

Marcus Allen, Malcolm Allen, Evan Martin and Tanner Bonds each scored 10 points for Centennial, which used a 17-9 run in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Blake Claxton sank five 3-pointers on his way to 24 points to lead Arbor View.

Legacy 57, Faith Lutheran 42 — At Faith Lutheran, Cardon Harris had 19 points, and the Longhorns grabbed a quick 20-9 lead on their way to a win over the Crusaders.

Chris Cook added 13 points for Legacy.

D’Khari Hicks had 11 points, and Sam Stevens scored 10 for Faith Lutheran.

Palo Verde 83, Mojave 53 — At Mojave, Nahjee Matlock led five double-figure scorers with 20 points as the Panthers ran past the Rattlers.

Michael Buchanan added 18 points, and Darryl Gaynor scored 14 for Palo Verde, which got 13 points from Jordyn Martin and 12 points from Eris Winder.

Bryant Lewis paced Mojave with 17 points.

Foothill 66, Del Sol 54 — At Foothill, Brannon Cresanto scored 21 points as the Falcons defeated the Dragons.

Tyler Morris scored 11 points, and Taylor Montgomery had five points and nine rebounds for Foothill.

Tyron Rouse had 13 points, Nate Kirschbaum scored 12 points and Max Prescott 10 for Del Sol.  

Desert Pines 88, Sunrise Mountain 44 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jesse Martin scored 16 points to lead a balanced attack as the Jaguars routed the Miners.

Nine Desert Pines players scored five or more points, and the Jaguars raced to a 46-17 halftime lead.

Stephon Nathan led Sunrise Mountain with 15 points.

Liberty 77, Tech 42 — At Liberty, Rhandy Tomlinson scored 16 points, and Jeremy Lontayao had 13 points to help the Patriots cruise past the Roadrunners.

Elijah Graves had 12 points, and Melvin Rushing added 11 points for Liberty.

Josh West scored 24 points to lead Tech.

Clark 76, Pahrump Valley 38 — At Pahrump, Diontae Jones had 14 points as the Chargers rolled past the Trojans.

Colby Jackson had 13 points for Clark, which got 11 points from Kentrell Washington.

Andrew White paced Pahrump with 14 points.

Shadow Ridge 66, Moapa Valley 40 — At Overton, Marquise Evans and Malcolm Davis each had 12 points, and the Mustangs bolted to a 39-16 halftime lead on their way to a win over the Pirates.

Will Martin added 11 points for Shadow Ridge.

Landon Willard led Moapa Valley with 16 points.

Boulder City 70, Virgin Valley 57 — At Boulder City, Nate Hafen had 31 points to lead the Eagles past the Bulldogs.

Kaleb Bailey added 17 points for Boulder City.

Dee Bowler led Virgin Valley with 19 points, and teammate Nolan Tanner scored 14.

Calvary Chapel 51, Laughlin 49 — At Calvary Chapel, Drew Hammond scored on a put-back as time expired to give the Lions the win over the Cougars.

Bobby Buist had 12 points and six blocks for Calvary Chapel, which outscored Laughlin 14-8 in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback.

Colton Hill had 21 points, and Averie Prosise scored 20 for Laughlin.

Needles 77, The Meadows 68 — At Needles, Michael Hills had 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, and John Ochoa had 22 points to lead Needles past The Meadows.

Aaron Burns had 12 points and 14 rebounds, and Matt McAndrews added 13 points for Needles.

Garrett Gosse scored 25 points, and Max Newman had 20 points to lead The Meadows.  

Agassi Prep 94, Lake Mead 70 — At Lake Mead, Anson Williams scored 18 points to help the Stars down the Eagles.

Kalinn Jackson and Darryl Green each added 17 points for Agassi Prep, which led 51-27 at the half.

Justin Yamzon scored 21 of his game-high 41 points in the third quarter to lead Lake Mead.

Lincoln County 84, Mountain View 76 — At Mountain View, Chandler Katschke had 30 points, and Ryan Rippetoe scored 25 as the Lynx outgunned the Saints.

Preston Avery had 14 points, and Dakota Cluff scored 11 for Lincoln County, which outscored Mountain View 21-14 in the third quarter.

T.J. Kissinger and Matt Larson each scored 23 points for Mountain View. Trevor Van Kempen and Joseph Gueverra each added 12 points for the Saints.

Spring Mountain 54, Round Mountain 52 — At Round Mountain, Roemello Brandon had 24 points to help the Eagles hold on for a win over the Knights.

Mitchell Doheney led Round Mountain with 21 points. Serjio Chavez added 14 points for the Knights, and teammate Carlos Chavez scored 10.

Indian Springs 47, Tonopah 41 — At Indian Springs, Brock Roadhouse had 14 points and 15 rebounds, and the Thunderbirds made 20-of-30 free throws to down the Muckers.

Dominic Morgando added 14 points, and Xavier Pena scored 13 for Indian Springs.

Spencer Littlefield had 19 points for Tonopah, which went 3 of 8 from the free-throw line.

Pahranagat Valley 71, Sandy Valley 33 — At Alamo, Tyler Higbee scored 24 points to help the Panthers rout the Sidewinders.

Austin Poulsen had 12 points, and Derek Hansen added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Pahranagat Valley.

Kade Wadsworth supplied eight points and 11 rebounds for the Panthers, who led 29-15 at halftime.

Ryan Hagan and Brandon Hughes each scored 11 points for Sandy Valley.
