ROUNDUP: Thornton’s last-second three gives Green Valley boys road win over Basic

Michael Thornton’s 3-pointer with 13 seconds remaining Friday allowed Green Valley’s boys basketball team to nip host Basic, 47-46.

Thornton, whose shot gave Green Valley a 47-44 lead, paced the Gators with 14 points. Teammate Brandon Hoisington added 13 points.

Jaylene Brown had 12 points and nine rebounds to lead the Wolves, who missed a 3-point attempt at the final horn.

Silverado 60, Tech 46 — At Tech, David Ware led a balanced attack with 14 points as the Skyhawks defeated the Roadrunners.

Ruben Jackson added 12 points for Silverado, which got 11 points from Justin Johnson and 10 points from Bryan Marberry.

Manny Gonzalez paced Tech with 19 points, and teammate Michael Johnson added 18 points.

Liberty 59, Del Sol 54 — At Liberty, Jeremy Lagasca and Elijah Graves each scored 10 points to help the Patriots rally for a victory over the Dragons.

David Day scored a game-high 24 points for Del Sol, which took a 49-43 lead into the fourth quarter.

Canyon Springs 108, Sunrise Mountain 57 — At Sunrise Mountain, seven players scored in double figures to help the Pioneers rout the Miners.

Chris Willis scored 19 points to lead Canyon Springs, and teammate Jared Brandon added 17 points.

Michael Thompson, Trey Evans, Donald Anderson and Ladarrell Mongkholtham contributed 13 points apiece, and Marquon Webster scored 10 for Canyon Springs.

Ariel Baggett led Sunrise Mountain with 24 points.

Valley 77, Las Vegas 68 — At Valley, Christian Kessee scored 18 points to lead the Vikings past the Wildcats.

Jarrett Coleman added 14 points, Johnny Arbelaez scored 13, and Angelo Coleman contributed 10 points for Valley. Royce Finley supplied four points and 11 rebounds for Valley.

Hasaan Henderson led Las Vegas with 16 points. Phil Dunigan added 15 points, George Sanico scored 11, and Travon Langston had 10 points for the Wildcats.

Eldorado 81, Rancho 59 — At Eldorado, Jeremiah Hamilton and DaQuon Thrower each had 15 points to lift the Sundevils past the Rams.

D.J. Billingsly and Markeith Floyd added 10 points apiece for Eldorado.

Chris Hall paced Rancho with 23 points, and teammate R’mond Hill scored 10.

Chaparral 69, Desert Pines 64 — At Chaparral, the Cowboys had four players score in double figures on the way to a win over the Jaguars.

Devonte’ White led Chaparral with 14 points. Kevin Morgan and Jermaine Neal each scored 12, and Jared Celestine had 10 points for the Cowboys.

Najee McIver and Joshua Velarde each had 12 points for Desert Pines.

Western 93, Bonanza 81 — At Western, Kentrell Washington had 27 points and five assists to help the Warriors beat the Bengals.

Sir Washington added 17 points for Western, which got 16 points from Aaron Buckley and 10 points from Patrick Branch.

Kenyon Washington added nine points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors.

Teyshawn Campbell scored 24 of his 32 points in the second half to lead Bonanza.

Matt Figgins added 17 points for the Bengals. John King had 11 points and Robbie Sagel 10 for Bonanza.

Centennial 62, Faith Lutheran 55 — At Faith Lutheran, Ryan Vozzola scored eight of his team-high 16 points in the fourth quarter to help the Bulldogs defeat the Crusaders.

Aaseem Dixon added 12 points for Centennial, which pulled ahead midway through the fourth quarter.

James Hammer led Faith Lutheran with 21 points.

Moapa Valley 65, Boulder City 54 — At Overton, Josh Thompson scored 28 points to lead the Pirates past the Eagles.

Hayden Cooper added 13 points for Moapa Valley, which used a 21-8 run in the third quarter to pull away.

Nate Hafen led Boulder City with 15 points. Austin Morgan had 12 points for the Eagles, and Michael Hernandez scored 10.

Agassi Prep 101, Calvary Chapel 46 — At Agassi Prep, Quincy Brown had 16 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks and four steals to help the Stars rout the Lions.

Curtis Watson had 15 points and seven rebounds for Agassi Prep, and teammate Decari Lide added 12 points. Kailinn Jackson had 10 points and nine assists for the Stars, and teammates Devin Bailey and Anson Williams each scored 10.

Bobby Buist led Calvary Chapel with 20 points.

Spring Mountain 47, Round Mountain 22 — At Saville Middle School, Devante Rash had 26 points and 12 rebounds, and the Eagles used a 21-4 second-quarter run to down the Knights.

Tovalier Doss added 11 points for Spring Mountain.

Serjio Chavez led Round Mountain with 11 points.

Indian Springs 51, Lund 41 — At Indian Springs, Dominic Morgando had 16 points and 15 rebounds to help the Thunderbirds top the Mustangs.

Chasen Malden scored 20 points for Indian Springs, which got 10 points and 15 rebounds from Brock Roadhouse.

Luke Hair scored 20 points and Jarett Gubler 19 for Lund.

Kanab (Utah) 88, Pahranagat Valley 86 — At Kanab, Utah, John Terrel hit a jumper as time expired in the third overtime to give the Cowboys the win.

Cody Hosier led Pahranagat Valley with 40 points, eight rebounds and seven steals. He hit a long 3-pointer at the end of regulation to tie the game at 55.

Tyler Higbee supplied 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers.

Beatty 57, Baker (Calif.) 37 — At Beatty, Jose Moreno compiled 17 points, nine rebounds, five steals and three assists to help the Hornets down Baker.

Jesus Garcia added 12 points and three steals for Beatty, which grabbed a 29-15 halftime lead and never looked back.
