ROUNDUP: Robertson’s late basket takes Tech boys past Trojans

Elijah Robertson’s go-ahead basket with 18 seconds remaining Friday lifted Tech’s boys basketball team to a 45-43 home win over Pahrump Valley

Robertson scored 13 points to lead the Roadrunners, and teammate Josh West added 12 points.

Dalton Beighley scored 12 points to lead the Trojans, who used a late 9-0 run to tie the score at 43 prior to Robertson’s game-winner. Quon Cotton had 11 points for the Trojans.

Canyon Springs 72, Liberty 60 — At Liberty, Tim Straghter scored 22 points to lead the Pioneers over the Patriots.

Chris Nelson scored 14 points, and Jerryon Sueing and Brandon Edmond each scored 10 points for Canyon Springs.

Elijah Graves scored 20 points, and Jeremy Lontayao had 19 points and five assists for Liberty, which got 12 points and 10 rebounds from Dartivius Young.

Green Valley 91, Del Sol 60 — At Del Sol, Tyler Roberts scored 21 points to lead the Gators over the Dragons.

Ikaika Pladera scored 17 points, Kenan Haywood had 14 points, and Clyde Austin added 10 points for Green Valley.

Eduardo Romero scored 17 points, and Tyrone Rouse had 14 points for Del Sol, which got 11 points from Kyle Collins.

Cherry Creek (Colo.) 48, Cheyenne 39 — At Cheyenne, Sam Stoveall had 16 points to lead the  Bruins past the Desert Shields.

Will Bower and Graham Pingree each scored 12 points for Cherry Creek, which rallied from a 21-15 halftime deficit.

Edward Shaw had 13 points, six steals and five assists for Cheyenne. Jas Coulson added 10 points for the Desert Shields.

Centennial 66, Mojave 52 — At Legacy, Marcus Allen scored 29 points, and the Bulldogs used a 16-5 game-ending run to pull away from the Rattlers in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Malcolm Allen added 24 points for Centennial, which got 10 rebounds from Khalil Thompson.

Malik Abbott led Mojave with 15 points, and teammate Jai’Angelis Stevenson scored 12.

Legacy 63, St. Aloysius College (Australia) 49 — At Legacy, Donavon Gray had 20 points to power the Longhorns to a win in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Benjie Harris and Jacob Rainey chipped in seven points each for Legacy.

Fabijan Kraslavic led St. Aloysius with 25 points.

Clark 71, Agassi Prep 35 — Dickenzy Santil scored 14 points as the Chargers bolted past the Stars in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Sir Washington had 13 points, and Ty’Rek Wells scored 11 for Clark.

Darius Coaxum led Agassi Prep with nine points. 

Sierra Vista 64, Canyon View (Utah) 58 — At Legacy, DeJuan Smith scored 14 points, and Mikko Balmes had 13 points to lift the Mountain Lions over Canyon View in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Nino Flores added 11 points for Sierra Vista.

Brady Barrett led Canyon View with 15 points.

Durango 63, Bonanza 50 — At Legacy, Tyler Watts scored 20 points, and the Trailblazers used a 20-point third quarter to tame the Bengals in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Alex Tarkanian had 12 points, and Da’jon Streeter added 11 points to pace Durango.

Cameron Ladson registered 18 points, and Rio Justice Chandler had 16 points for Bonanza.

Brea Olinda (Calif.) 62, Faith Lutheran 57 — At Legacy, Villus Vysniauskas and Chandler Ramos each scored 15 points to lead the Wildcats past the Crusaders in the Legacy Tip-Off Classic.

Michael Turner added 12 for Brea Olinda.

D’Khari Hicks had 16 points, and Sam Stevens scored 10 for Faith Lutheran.

Basic 65, Lowry 55 — At Mesquite, Andrew Lopez scored 19 points to lead the Wolves past the Buckaroos in the Bulldog Invitational.

Devonte Boyd and Isaiah Villaros each scored 12 points for Basic.

Jesse Studebaker scored 15 points for Lowry.

Cimarron-Memorial 55, Moapa Valley 25 — At Mesquite, Cody Newton led all scorers with 10 points as the Spartans defeated the Pirates in the Bulldog Invitational.

Bunker Wimer led the Pirates with eight points.

Virgin Valley 60, Western 43 — At Mesquite, Garrett Leavitt scored 23 points, and Tyson Teerlink added 15 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Warriors in the Bulldog Invitational.

Travis Dunn had 23 points for Western.

Desert Oasis 76, Enterprise (Utah) 74 — At Mesquite, Jay Esguerra made two free throws with four seconds remaining in double overtime to help the Diamondbacks past the Wolves in the Bulldog Invitational.

Noah Jefferson had 16 points, and Marvin Duty scored 15 for Desert Oasis, which got 10 points from Kodi Leslie.

Justin Prisbrey led all scorers with 36 points  for Enterprise.

Orem (Utah) 82, Foothill 57 — At Orem, Utah, Isaiah Frame scored 28 points to help the Tigers beat the Falcons in the Great Western Shootout.

Austin Starr scored 22 points for Foothill, which trailed 48-30 at halftime. Teammate Elijah Smith added 16 points.

Arbor View 84, Cibola (Ariz.) 67 — At Yuma, Ariz., Terrell Butler made 5 of 6 3-pointers and finished with 26 points and four steals as the Aggies advanced to the championship game of the Southwest Rotary Classic by downing the host school.

Justin Burks poured in 27 points, and Navonte Hill added 16 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals for Arbor View, which got 11 points from Brandon Hill.

Arbor View 64, Bradshaw Mountain (Ariz.) 39 — At Yuma, Ariz., Burks went 9 of 11 from the field on his way to 19 points and six rebounds as the Aggies won a quarterfinal game in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Terrell Butler added 12 points and five assists, and Navonte Hill had eight points and four steals for Arbor View, which led 20-7 after one quarter.

Mountain View 66, Gila Ridge (Ariz.) 63 — At Yuma, Ariz., T.J. Kissinger tallied five of his 14 points in overtime to lead the Saints to a win in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Matt Larson added 13 points, and Joseph Guevarra scored 11 for Mountain View, which got 10 points from Tevin Gray.

Connor LeBoeuf’s 3-pointer gave Mountain View a 58-56 lead with 22 seconds left in regulation, but Gila Ridge’s Marcus Weeks sank two free throws to force overtime.

Weeks finished wtih 19 points, including an 11-for-11 effort on free throws.

Kofa (Ariz.) 83, Mountain View 54 — 
At Yuma, Ariz., Isaac Coronado poured in 28 points as Kofa rolled past the Saints in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Larson had 15 points, and Guevarra scored 11 for Mountain View.

Cibola (Ariz.) 66, The Meadows 47 — At Yuma, Ariz., the Raiders downed the Mustangs in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Adam Abdelaziz scored 12 points, and Eric Hirsberg and Matthew Biafore each scored 10 points for the Mustangs.

Bradshaw Mountain (Ariz.) 55, The Meadows 44 —
At Yuma, Ariz., the Bears topped the Mustangs in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Matthew Biafore had nine points, and Adam Abdelaziz added eight points for the Mustangs.

Pahranagat Valley 63, Calvary Chapel 52 — At Alamo, Tyler Higbee scored 22 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Panthers over the Lions. Jake Carter had 15 points and eight rebounds, and Austin Poulsen added 13 points for Pahranagat.

Drew Hammond scored 21 points and Quinton Hank had 14 points for Calvary Chapel, which got 12 points from Matthew Harney.

Spring Mountain 71, Sandy Valley 23 —
At Saville Middle School, Terrence Ware scored 20 points, and the Eagles led 41-9 at the half on their way to an easy win over the Sidewinders.

Roemello Tatum had 14 points, and Develle Williams added 11 points for Spring Mountain.

Jerremy Barnes and Guillermo Solano each had seven points for Sandy Valley.
