ROUNDUP: Pine View boys, girls sweep Virgin Valley

Pine View (Utah) used a 14-4 fourth-quarter burst Monday to rally for a 53-46 win over Virgin Valley’s boys basketball team in St George, Utah.

Nolan Tanner had 21 points, including five 3-pointers, and grabbed eight rebounds for the Bulldogs, who got seven points apiece from William Lara, Tyson Teerlink and Dee Bowler.

GIRLS

Pine View (Utah) 55, Virgin Valley 50 — At St. George, Utah, Melissa Judd led a balanced attack with 14 points, and the Panthers grabbed a 32-22 halftime lead and held off the Bulldogs.

Abbie Barnard paced Virgin Valley with five 3-pointers and 24 points. Cassidy Crandall added 12 points for the Bulldogs.
