ROUNDUP: Needles tops White Pine in boys basketball

Stevie Kidd poured in 21 points and dished out six assists Saturday as the Needles (Calif.) boys basketball team rallied from a four-point halftime deficit for a 67-55 win at White Pine.

Michael Hills added 17 points for the Mustangs. Darra Russell had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Anthony Ramos 10 points for Needles.

Wade Wilkinson led the Bobcats with 15 points. Johnny Holliday scored 15 and Russ Manzonie 11 for White Pine.

Lake Mead 70, Indian Springs 21 — At Indian Springs, Alex Mayorga led all scorers with 16 points for the Eagles, who blitzed to a 21-0 first-quarter lead en route to the win.

Josh Bratton added 14 points and Jeffrey Newton and Cameron Cornish 10 each for Lake Mead.

Brock Roadhouse and Chasen Malden each had six points for the Thunderbirds.

Beatty 58, Sandy Valley 20 — At Beatty, Anthony Regalado led a balanced scoring attack with 11 points for the Hornets, who bolted to leads of 16-2 after one quarter and 36-7 at the half on the way to the win.

Dario Ortega led the Sidewinders with six points.

Pahranagat Valley 65, Lund 45 — At Lund, Brady Whipple scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Pahranagat Valley raced to a 23-5 first-quarter lead and downed the Mustangs.

Chase Hansen added 10 points for the Panthers, who had 11 different players score.

Colton Kreci led Lund with 22 points. Josh Niman scored 14.

The Meadows 86, West Wendover 72 — At West Wendover, Max Newman scored 20 points to help the Mustangs top the Wolverines.
