ROUNDUP: McGriff leads Clark boys past Spring Valley

Bryan McGriff led five double-figure scorers with 21 points Saturday as Clark’s boys basketball team collected a 94-72 win at Spring Valley.

Sir Washington added 18 points, and K.C. Harrison and Kentrell Washington each scored 11 for the Chargers, who led 31-14 after the first quarter and put away the game with a 25-12 fourth-quarter spurt.

Trevante Jamerson scored 10 for Clark.

Sean Clancey paced the Grizzlies with 20 points. Rahfe’l King added 13 points, and Justin Profit scored 11 for Spring Valley, which got 10 points from Shannon Nolan.

Lincoln County 78, Laughlin 58 — At Panaca, Chandler Katschke tallied 22 points, and the Lynx raced to a 27-11 first-quarter lead on their way to a win over the Cougars.

Jordan Davis added 14 points, and Preston Avery scored 12 for Lincoln County.

Colton Hill led Laughlin with 20 points, and teammate Anthony Nelson had 10 points.

Mountain View 74, Calvary Chapel 62 — At Calvary Chapel, T.J. Kissinger scored 18 points to help the Saints top the Lions.

Joseph Gueverra added 16 points, and Trevor Van Kempen had 15 points for Mountain View.

Bobby Buist paced Calvary Chapel with 18 points and nine blocked shots. Drew Hammond added 16 points, and C.J. Castro scored 10 for the Lions.

GIRLS

Mountain View 40, Calvary Chapel 37 — At Calvary Chapel, Briana Marruffo poured in 23 points, and the Saints survived a potential game-tying 3-pointer in the final seconds to down the Lions.

Mountain View earned the No. 3 seed for the Class 2A Southern League playoffs by virtue of sweeping the two league games against Calvary Chapel. The Saints will face Needles in a semifinal at 3 p.m. Friday at Durango.

Lianne Reyes led the Lions with 13 points. Calvary Chapel will meet top-seeded Lincoln County in the other semifinal at 6:20 p.m. Friday at Durango.

Lincoln County 58, Laughlin 25 — At Panaca, Lacee Babcock scored 17 points, and the Lynx busted out to a 34-6 halftime lead en route to an easy win over the Cougars.

Chelsea Lloyd added 14 points, and Jaycee Wadsworth scored 11 for the Lynx, who finished 14-0 in Class 2A Southern League play.

Agassi Prep 59, The Meadows 39 — At Agassi Prep, the Stars outscored the Mustangs 28-6 in the fourth quarter to rally for a win.

Javoluee Green had 24 points, and Noelle Chavis scored 19 to lead Agassi Prep.

Melissa Siegel led The Meadows with 13 points, and teammate Bailey Gosse scored 10.
