Roundup: Jalen Hill leads Clark to win in Hoophall West

Jalen Hill had 23 points as the Clark’s boys basketball team beat Pinncale (Ariz.) 60-52 in the Hoophall West tournament in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Saturday.

Hill had 10 points in the fourth quarter, including a slam with 17 seconds to play that sealed the win.

Hill had a three-point play with about 3:20 to go that gave the Chargers a 50-48 lead. His dunk with 1:38 left made it 56-52.

Trey Woodbury scored 10 points in the second half for Clark.

The Pioneers went on an 11-0 run in the third quarter capped by a dunk by Nico Mannion that gave Pinnacle a 42-36 lead with 58 seconds left in the quarter.

James Bridges added 11 points for the Chargers.

Coronado 59, Basha (Ariz.) 33 — At Scottsdale, Arizona, freshman Jaden Hardy scored 21 points as the Cougars beat the Bears in the Hoophall West tournament.

Taieem Comeaux added eight points for Coronado.

Spring Valley 74, Enterprise (Utah) 71 — At Mesquite, Keelan Wickersham scored 24 points to lead the Grizzlies to the overtime win over the Wolves in the championship game of the Bulldog Invitational.

Jahlani Blair added 22 points, and Kobe Moore scored 10 for the Grizzlies.

Chasen Truman paced Enterprise with 18 points.

Cedar (Utah) 58, Virgin Valley 39 — At Mesquite, Dallin Grant had 20 points to lead the Redmen over the Bulldogs for third place in the Bulldog Invitational.

Daxon Toone led Virgin Valley with nine points.

Tech 71, Pahrump Valley 65 — At Mesquite, Miguel Pena scored 31 points to lead the Roadrunners past the Trojans for fifth place in the Bulldog Invitational.

Antonio Fortin scored 29 for Pahrump.

Spring Valley 78, Virgin Valley 58 — At Mesquite, Keelan Wickersham, Jahlani Blair and Sean Sampson each scored 12 points as the Grizzlies beat the Bulldogs in the semifinals of the Bulldog Invitational.

Meb Hollingshead scored 11 for Virgin Valley.

Tech 65, Moapa Valley 56 — At Mesquite, Jurelle Orbino scored the first 11 points of the third quarter and finished with 26 to lead the Roadrunners over the Pirates in the Bulldog Invitational.

Isaiah Villareal added 12 points for Tech, which outscored Moapa Valley 36-20 in the third quarter.

Faith Lutheran 81, Winslow (Ariz.) 39 — At Flagstaff, Arizona, Brevin Walter had 14 points as the Crusaders rolled past the Bulldogs in the champinship game of the Pepsi Holiday Tournament.

Parker Kanne added 11 points, and Dalton Kincaid, Briggs Garrison and David Heckard each scored 10 for Faith Lutheran, which led 49-19 at the half.

Faith Lutheran 49, Pima (Ariz.) 43 — At Flagstaff, Arizona, Kincaid and Jaylen Fox each scored 16 points as the Crusaders beat the Roughriders in the semifinals of the Pepsi Holiday Tournament.

Alek Pruszynski led Pima with 16 points.

Arbor View 58, Tolleson Union (Ariz.) 49 — At Page, Arizona, Comillion Smith scored 16 points as the Aggie beat the Wolverines in the championship game of the Lake Powell Holiday Classic.

Tyre Williams added 13 points, and Favor Chukwukelu scored 12 for Arbor View.

Tolleson’s Lewis Hughes led all scorers with 19 points.

Lake Mead 45, GV Christian 23 — At Lake Mead, Kaiaokumalani Madela had 11 points as the Eagles cruised past the Guardians.

Joshua Thorell added 10 points for Lake Mead, which held GV Christian to one point in the first quarter.

Moses Valencia led the Guardians with nine points.

Pahranagat Valley 50, Smith Valley 32 — At Virginia City, Stockton Maxwell had 10 points as the Panthers topped the Bulldogs in the Comstock Classic.

Richard Lewis, Kyler Martin and Preston Higbee each scored eight for Pahranagat Valley.

Yoni Covarrubias led Smith Valley with 13 points.

Spanish Springs 79, Eldorado 61 — At Reno, the Cougars beat the Sundevils.
