ROUNDUP: Jacobs’ double-double helps Desert Pines boys to win

Julian Jacobs scored 11 points and distributed 11 assists Monday to help Desert Pines’ boys basketball team to a 74-51 home win over Boulder City.

Nahjee McIver tallied 20 points for the Jaguars, who outscored the Eagles 50-25 in the middle two quarters.

Donavin Wright and Jesse Martin each scored 10 points for Desert Pines.

Kaleb Bailey and Nate Hafen had 11 points apiece to lead Boulder City.

Needles 64, River Valley (Ariz.) 37 — At Needles, Calif., Lewie Larrabee poured in 26 points as the Mustangs routed the Dust Devils.

John Ochoa added 14 points for Needles.


Green Valley 55, Chaparral 30 — At Green Valley, Angelica Mack had 19 points and 20 rebounds, and the Gators used a 38-10 spurt during the middle two quarters to down the Cowboys.

Maggie Manwarren added nine points for Green Valley.

Octavia Gray paced Chaparral with 11 points.

Boulder City 65, Desert Pines 44 — At Desert Pines, Alyssa Ybarra pumped in 18 points, and the Eagles raced to a 44-19 halftime lead en route to a win over the Jaguars.

Karlee Koopman added 12 points, and Whitney Barlow and Mallory Bird each scored 10 for Boulder City.

Leslie White and Cydney Myles each had 16 points to lead Desert Pines.

Silverado 68, Virgin Valley 53 — At Mesquite, Jessica Meyers scored nine of her 23 points during a 25-10 third-quarter run that propelled the Skyhawks past the Bulldogs.

Sierra Hester added 16 points, six of those in the third quarter, and Brittany Loguidice scored 13 for Silverado.

Abbie Barnard led Virgin Valley with 17 points.

Needles 49, River Valley (Ariz.) 35 — At Needles, Calif., Holly Laswell tallied 12 points and eight rebounds to help the Mustangs top the Dust Devils.

Abby Chandler added 10 points, and Kaylee Calderon grabbed 10 rebounds for Needles.

Elizabeth Estes scored 17 points for River Valley.
