Roundup: Jacob Heese perfect at line as Desert Oasis beats Sierra Vista

Jacob Heese was 11-for-11 from the free-throw line and scored 26 points Friday to lead the Desert Oasis boys basketball team to an 84-78 road win over Sierra Vista.

Manny Mitchell scored 19 points for the Diamondbacks. Nate Van added 18 points, and Kamari Burnside scored 12 for Desert Oasis.

Maka Ellis led Sierra Vista with 24 points. David Howard had 21 points, and Jalen McFadden scored 12 for the Mountain Lions.

Valley 71, Boulder City 69 — At Valley, Oscar Burns had 21 points and made four free throws down the stretch to help the Vikings beat the Eagles in three overtimes.

Tommy Anderson added 17 points for Valley, which had six players foul out.

Carson Balistere led Boulder City with 12 points, and Tanner Montgomery and Karson Bailey each scored 10 for the Eagles, who were 35-for-50 from the free-throw line.

Cheyenne 70, Rancho 66 — At Cheyenne, Damion Bonty scored 20 points as the Desert Shields edged the Rams.

Cheyenne’s Hahsonie Laushal had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Kavon Williams scored 10 for the Desert Shields.

Rancho’s Jahleel Stevens led all scorers with 22 points, and teammate Chris Floyd scored 15.

Las Vegas 81, Centennial 63 — At Las Vegas High, Donovan Joyner scored 29 points as the Wildcats beat the Bulldogs.

Zach Matlock added 19 points, and Kiaeem Johnson-Gonzaque and Jaylin Headen each scored 13 for Las Vegas, which led 40-30 at the half.

Ishon Hardin paced Centennial with 26 points, and Gino Gines-Rivera scored 17 for the Bulldogs.

Virgin Valley 59, Pahrump Valley 53 — At Mesquite, Jayden Perkins led all scorers with 21 points as the Bulldogs came from behind to defeat the Trojans in the Bulldog Invitational.

Virgin Valley’s Meb Hollingshead added 13 points, and Riley Waite scored 10 for the Bulldogs, who outscored Pahrump 22-12 in the fourth quarter.

Antonio Fortin led the Trojans with 15 points. Bryce Odegard scored 12 points, and Brayden Severt had 11 points for the Trojans.

Spring Valley 80, Kanab 53 (Utah) — At Mesquite, Keelan Wickersham scored 23 points as he led the Grizzlies to a victory over the Cowboys in the Bulldog Invitational.

Kobe Moore and Jaydyn Dalton each scored 10 points for Spring Valley.

Cedar (Utah) 54, Moapa Valley 49 — At Mesquite, Dallin Peterson had 20 points as the Redmen edged the Pirates in the Bulldog Invitational.

Moapa Valley’s Nathaniel Thompson scored a game-high 23 points. Cedar outscored the Pirates 43-26 in the middle quarters.

Enterprise (Utah) 59, Tech 50 — At Mesquite, Chaen Truman scored 20 points as the Wolves beat the Roadrunners in the Bulldog Invitational.

Jaylon Gardner added 18 points for Enterprise, which was 16-for-23 from the free-throw line.

Jurelle Orbino scored 18 points to lead Tech, and teammate Dylan Sanglay added 10 points. The Roadrunners only attempted four free throws.

Arbor View 72, SLAM Academy 36 — At Page, Arizona, Tyre Williams scored 13 points as the Aggies beat the Bulls in the Lake Powell Holiday Shootout.

Comillion Smith added 11 points for Arbor View, which advanced to Saturday’s championship game.

Jalen Cunningham led SLAM Academy with 16 points, and Londan Coleman scored 14 for the Bulls.

Faith Lutheran 60, Basis (Ariz.) 23 — At Flagstaff, Arizona, Brevin Walter scored 12 points, and Connor Nichols added 11 points as the Crusaders defeated the Yeti in the Pepsi Holiday Tournament.

Sunrise Mountain 71, Kingman (Ariz.) 66 — At Kingman, Arizona, Stephen Adeyemi led all scorers with 25 points as he led the Miners to a victory over the Bulldogs in the Kingman Tournament.

Moises Garcia scored 10 points for Sunrise Mountain.

Del Sol 56, Sky Pointe 22 — At Sky Pointe, Keith Seldon scored 14 points to lead the Dragons past the Eagles.

Nati Asfaw and Armon Story each scored eight points for Del Sol, which led 24-7 at the end of the first quarter.

Gabe Wells scored nine points to lead the Eagles.

Mojave 72, The Meadows 37 — At Mojave, Chris Jackson had 21 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Rattlers in a rout of the Mustangs.

Noah Sherrard and Isaiah Harper each scored nine points for Mojave, which used a 22-9 second-quarter run to take control.

Joe Epstein had 11 points to lead The Meadows.

Lincoln County 72, Mountain View 51 — At Panaca, Noah Smith had 21 points and eight rebounds as the Lynx topped the Saints.

Alex Vincent added 13 points and Elijah Harr 11 for Lincoln County, which led 26-24 at the half.

Mountain View’s Terrence Brooks led all scorers with 28 points.

Democracy Prep 67, Calvary Chapel 28 — At Democracy Prep, Akeemis Williams led all scorers with 17 points as the Blue Knights defeated the Lions.

Michae Denham had 13 points and 14 rebounds, Daniel Plummer and Chancellor Johnson each scored nine points, and Jared Holmes had eight points and 10 rebounds for Democracy Prep.

Blake Box led Calvary Chapel with 15 points.

Pahranagat Valley 48, Virginia City 26 — At Virginia City, Culen Highbe led all scorers with 22 points as the Panthers defeated the Muckers in the Comstock Classic.

Stockton Maxwell added 12 points for Pahranagat Valley.

Pahranagat Valley 56, Coleville 13 — At Virginia City, Highbe scored 17 points, and the Panthers used a 28-2 second-quarter run to pull away from the Wolves in the Comstock Classic.

Maxwell added 14 points for Pahranagat Valley.

Somerset-Losee 75, St. Kevin’s (Australia) 7 — At Somerset-Losee, Maxwell Lewis led all scorers with 18 points as the Lions rolled past St. Kevin’s.

Losee’s Taje Woody had 10 points, 10 steals, and seven assists, and teammate Johnelle Brantley added 10 points and 10 rebounds

Branden Bolton also scored 10 points for the Lions.

Sandy Valley 56, Virgin Valley B 36 — At Littlefield, Arizona, Brandon Eastham had 17 points as the Sidewinders beat Virgin Valley’s B team in the Beaver Dam Tournament.

Rian Cripe added 14 points for Sandy Valley.

Fredonia (Ariz.) 50, Sandy Valley 44 — At Littlefield, Arizona, the Lynx edged the Sidewinders in the Beaver Dam Tournament.

Eastham led Sandy Valley with 22 points, and teammate Rian Cripe scored 15.

Clark 69, Chavez (Ariz.) 45 — At Scottsdale, Arizona, the Chargers defeated the Champions in the Hoophall West tournament.

Eldorado 86, Douglas 60 — At Reno, the Sundevils defeated the Tigers.
