Roundup: Ishon Hardin’s buzzer-beat lifts Centennial over Legacy

Ishon Hardin scored seven of his 17 points in overtime Tuesday, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Centennial’s boys basketball team to a 58-55 victory over host Legacy.

Aaryn Anderson had 12 points for Centennial, and teammate Teon Taylor scored 10.

Legacy was down by six points with 30 seconds remaining in regulation, but Jalen Johnson’s 3-pointer at the buzzer sent the game to overtime.

Amare James and D’Eric Marlowe each scored 15 for the Longhorns, and Johnson finished with 12 points.

Silverado 86, Coronado 83 — At Coronado, Martell Williams scored a game-high 35 points to lift the Skyhawks to an upset victory over the Cougars.

Caden Farley added 24 points for Silverado, which led 46-44 at the break.

Jaden Harden led Coronado with 28 points.

Mountain View 70, Lake Mead 61 — At Mountain View, Tyrell Brooks had 30 points and 10 rebounds, and twin brother Terrence Brooks tallied 26 points, 14 rebounds and six steals as the Saints held off the Eagles in overtime.

Mountain View scored all 11 of their points in overtime from the free throw line and held Lake Mead to two points.

Joshua Thorell and Kaiaokumulani Madela scored 13 points each and teammate Donte Bristol added 11 for Lake Mead.

Pahrump Valley 71, Sunrise Mountain 62 — At Sunrise Mountain, Antonio Fortin led four players in double figures with 21 points as the Trojans stunned the Miners.

Bryce Odegard and Cory Bergan each had 12 points, and Chance Farnsworth scored 11 for Pahrump, which led 61-36 after three quarters.

Steven Adeyemi scored a game-high 25 points for Sunrise Mountain. Dalvin Brown had 12 points, and Tyree Hayes supplied 10 for the Miners.

Liberty 86, Basic 63 — At Basic, Cameron Burist scored a game-high 24 points to power the Patriots past the Wolves.

Kobe Stroughter scored 15 points, and teammate Julian Strawther added 12 points for Liberty, which knocked down seven 3-pointers.

Peter Nelson scored 21 points to lead Basic.

Foothill 80, Green Valley 50 — At Foothill, Dylan Hushaw poured in 26 points to help the Falcons run away from the Gators.

Jace Roquemore had 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Falcons, and Marvin Coleman had 14 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists.

Antoine Hines scored 22 for the Gators, and teammate Michael Jackson had 13 points.

Arbor View 63, Palo Verde 53 — At Arbor View, Donovan Yap and Comillion Smith each had 12 points to help the Aggies take down the Panthers.

Sevonyea Smith added 11 points for Arbor View, which led 30-23 at halftime.

Donovan Stewart and Dylan Yoro each scored nine points for Palo Verde.

Bishop Gorman 77, Durango 51 — At Gorman, Noah Taitz scored a game-high 19 points to lead 12 scorers, as the Gaels downed the Trailblazers.

Jamal Bey and Isaiah Cottrell each scored 15 points for Gorman, which drained eight 3-pointers. Cottrell added eight rebounds and five blocked shots for the Gaels.

Jovan Lubura had 15 points and eight rebounds to lead Durango. Myshawn McCraney and Anthony Hunter each scored 12 points for the Trailblazers.

Desert Oasis 83, Rancho 58 — At Desert Oasis, Jacob Heese had a game-high 30 points to power the Diamondbacks over the Rams.

Nate Van had 22 points for the Diamondbacks, and teammate Kamari Burnside scored 13.

Rancho’s James Brown scored 26points. Jahleel Stevens had 13 points, and Nick Merkson scored 11 for the Rams.

Sierra Vista 69, Chaparral 44 — At Sierra Vista, Maka Ellis scored 20 points to lead the Mountain Lions to an easy win over the Cowboys.

Jalen McFadden scored 15 points, and David Howard added 12 points for Sierra Vista, which outscored Chaparral 41-20 in the second half.

Jonathan Tendale and Robert McGregor each scored 12 points to pace Chaparral.

Mojave 70, Western 37 — At Mojave, Noah Sherrard made five 3-pointers en route to a game-high 20 points in a win over the Warriors.

Saquevian Williams had 15 points for the Rattlers, and teammate Chris Jackson scored 13.

Naadir Smith scored 11 points for Western.

Adelson School 47, Needles 46 — At Adelson School, Miles Hagan scored 10 points, including the go-ahead layup with two seconds left as the Lions nipped the Mustangs.

Alex Sefia led Adelson School with 16 points, and teammate Tomer Blit added 13 points.

Trey Tsosie scored 16 points, and Irving Juarez added 15 points to pace Needles.

Faith Lutheran 70, Cimarron-Memorial 47 — At Cimarron, Jaylen Fox had 16 points, and Dalton Kincaid scored 14 as the Crusaders turned back the Spartans.

Brevin Walter added 11 points for Faith Lutheran, which led 28-16 at halftime.

George Tribble and Brian Washington each scored 13 points for Cimarron.

Democracy Prep 72, Laughlin 23 — At Democracy Prep, Akeemis Williams and Najeeb Muhammad each scored 13 points as the Blue Knights cruised past the Eagles.

Jared Holmes added 10 points, and Sayvyon Smith grabbed 13 rebounds for Democracy Prep, which ran to a 54-12 halftime lead.

Brandon Nelson led Laughlin with 11 points.

Word of Life 71, Sandy Valley 38 — At Sandy Valley, Justin Frondarina scored 16 points, but the Sidewinders fell to the Eagles.

Brandon Eastham had 12 points for Sandy Valley.

GV Christian 50, Liberty Baptist 45 — At Liberty Baptist, the Guardians grabbed a 29-15 halftime lead en route to defeating the Knights.

Trevor Campbell led Liberty Baptist with 23 points and four steals.
