Roundup: Foothill picks up win in California tournament

Dylan Hushaw scored a game-high 22 points as Foothill’s boys basketball team ran away from Christian Unified (California) 87-65 in the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational on Tuesday in Rancho Mirage, California.

The Falcons 37-30 at halftime, then out-scored Christian Unified 30-9 in the third quarter to pull away.

Collin Russell scored 12 and Marvin Coleman had 10 points for the Falcons, who got contributions from 13 scorers.

Jackson Larsen led the Patriots with 17 points.

Clark 58, Lanett (Ala.) 38 — At Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jalen Hill led the way with 19 points in the Chargers’ victory over the Panthers in the Beach Ball Classic.

James Bridges scored 11 for the Chargers, who pulled away with a 31-16 advantage in the second half.

Anquavious Pollard scored 14 points to lead the Panthers.

Green Valley 50, Godinez (Calif.) 47 — At Rancho Mirage, California, Cameron Bower and Antoine Hines each scored 10 points as the Gators beat the Grizzly Bear in the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational.

Coronado 79, South East (Calif.) 44 — At Torrance, California, the Cougars took down the Jaguars in the Spot Up SoCal Christmas Classic.

Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary (Calif.) 81, Canyon Springs 72 — At Rancho Mirage, California, the Cardinals beat the Pioneers in the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational.

Central (Calif.) 75, Palo Verde 61 — At Rancho Mirage, California, the Grizzlies beat the Panthers in the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational.

La Serna (Calif.) 72, Del Sol 39 — At Nogales, California, the Lancers routed the Dragons in the San Gabriel Valley Christmas Invitational.
