ROUNDUP: Floyd’s OT performance helps Sundevil boys top Gators

Markeith Floyd scored six of his 27 points in overtime Tuesday to lead Eldorado’s boys basketball team to an 87-82 win over visiting Green Valley.

D.J. Billingsley added 26 points and 16 rebounds for the Sundevils, who outscored Green Valley 17-12 in the extra period and made 28 of 35 free throws.

Dwayne Tillman had 13 points for Eldorado.

Green Valley’s Durrell McDonald hit a shot with one second left in regulation to force the overtime before finishing with 35 points, and teammate Devan Kohn scored 18 for the Gators.

Shadow Ridge 58, Faith Lutheran 46 — At Faith Lutheran, Nick Flowers scored 25 points to help the Mustangs pull away from the Crusaders.

Flowers hit a buzzer-beater from just beyond halfcourt at the end of the third quarter to give Shadow Ridge a 40-38 lead.

Flowers and Malcolm Davis each had six points in the final quarter as the Mustangs outscored Faith Lutheran 18-8 to pull away. Davis finished with nine points for Shadow Ridge.

Stuart Engs led Faith Lutheran with 13 points. Sam Stevens and D’Khari Hicks each added 10 points for the Crusaders.

Canyon Springs 60, Coronado 50 — At Canyon Springs, Gerad Davis scored 14 points to help the Pioneers beat the Cougars.

James Jones had 11 points and Shaquille Carr scored nine for Canyon Springs, which led 18-4 after one quarter.

Lamar Walker had 10 points and 14 blocked shots to lead the Cougars. Michael Louder scored 13 points for Coronado.

Valley 61, Foothill 55 — At Valley, Keanu Peters had 25 points, and Chris Swanson scored 10 as the Vikings edged the Falcons.

Valley outscored Foothill 22-7 in the third quarter to take control.

Brannon Cresanto and Greg Cox each had 15 points for Foothill.

Las Vegas 82, Liberty 62 — At Las Vegas High, Traven Yancey posted 23 points as the Wildcats cruised past the Patriots.

Juwan Taylor added 19 points and Phil Dunigan 18 for Las Vegas, which used a 51-20 run through the middle two quarters to pull away.

LaQuan Hawkins had 17 points, and teammate Jeremy Lontayoa scored 11 for Liberty.

Virgin Valley 60, Sunrise Mountain 58 — At Mesquite, Tyson Teerlink scored 15 points, and Will Lara added 14 as the Bulldogs held off the Miners.

Nolan Tanner supplied seven points and 11 rebounds for Virgin Valley, which led 36-23 at halftime, but only managed nine third-quarter points as the Miners attempted to rally.

Stephon Nathan scored 16 points, and Jovon Kirtley had 14 points for Sunrise Mountain, which had the ball with four seconds left but couldn’t get off a final shot.

Chaparral 57, Moapa Valley 48 — At Overton, Kamron Alexander scored 17 points to lead a balanced attack as the Cowboys defeated the Pirates.

Sean McConnell scored 14 points, and Shane Terril added 13 points for Moapa Valley.

Boulder City 75, The Meadows 53 — At The Meadows, Kaleb Bailey scored 16 points to lead the Eagles by the Mustangs.

Michael Hernandez and Michael Walker each added 11 points for Boulder City.

Spring Mountain 57, Adelson School 47 — At Adelson School, Roemello Brandon scored 32 points to help the Eagles down the Lions.

Tyrice Hall and Marquion White each added seven points for Spring Mountain, which led 32-19 at halftime.

Adelson’s Mendy Berrebi and Ross Behrins each had 16 points, and Rob Blackwell scored 10 for the Lions.

Indian Springs 46, Oasis Christian 37 — At Oasis Christian, Dominic Morgando scored 19 points as the Thunderbirds topped the Bulldogs.

Sam Carnicle scored 14 points to lead Oasis Christian.

Mountain View 54, Pahrangat Valley 47 — At Alamo, the Saints outscored the Panthers 17-3 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Mountain View’s T.J. Kissinger had four 3-pointers, including a pair of key baskets in the fourth quarter.

His 3-pointer tied the game at 44, and he later hit a second 3-pointer to give the Saints their first lead of the second half.

Trevor Van Kempen led Mountain View with 19 points, and teammate Joseph Gueverra scored 11.

Austin Poulsen led Pahranagat Valley with 15 points.

Needles 76, Palo Verde (Calif.) 39 — At Blythe, Calif., Aaron Burns had 15 points, 10 rebounds and five steals to lead the Mustangs to the win.

Devin Truscott scored 15 points for Needles, which also got double-figure scoring from Lewie Larrabee (14), John Ochoa (12) and Mason Cisneros (10).
