ROUNDUP: Davis leads Pioneers boys to double OT win over Wildcats

Sophomore Gerad Davis scored 32 points Tuesday as Canyon Springs’ boys basketball team clawed out an 86-83 double-overtime win over visiting Las Vegas High.

The Pioneers led 84-83 when James Jones came up with a steal, drove to the basket and was fouled with 3.1 seconds left.

Jones rolled his ankle on the play and was replaced by Anthony Jones, who knocked down two foul shots to seal the win.

Shaquille Carr added 12 points for Canyon Springs.

Hasaan Hendeson led Las Vegas with 26 points, and Phil Dunigan scored 22 for the Wildcats.

Desert Pines 78, Rancho 51 — At Desert Pines, Donavin Wright had 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Jaguars pushed past the Rams.

Julian Jacobs added 13 points for Desert Pines, which outscored the Rams 20-8 in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Cibiary Sabira led Rancho with 17 points.

Eldorado 81, Chaparral 53 — At Chaparral, D.J. Billingsley led five players in double figures with 19 points to help the Sundevils cruise past the Cowboys.

Markeith Floyd (14 points), Quavioun Thorns (12), Dwayne Tillman (12) and Da’Quon Thrower (10) also scored in double digits for Eldorado. The Sundevils took control by outscoring Chaparral 36-20 in the second quarter en route to a 50-27 halftime lead.

Tyree McNeal led the Cowboys with 12 points. Teammate Jared Celestine had 11 points, and Saequan Charingto scored 10 for the Cowboys.

Foothill 83, Basic 59 — At Foothill, Brannon Cresanto scored 22 points to lead the Falcons to an easy win over the Wolves.

Austin Starr added 16 points for Foothill, which raced to a 39-19 halftime lead.

Isaiah Villaros and Chandler Kamai each scored 12 points for Basic.

Silverado 75, Liberty 41 — At Liberty, David Ware scored 32 points as the Skyhawks rolled past the Patriots.

Justin Johnson added 21 points for Silverado, which outscored Liberty 26-14 in the second quarter to take a 40-23 halftime advantage.

Rhandy Tomlinson and Jeremy Lontayao each scored 10 points to pace Liberty.

Valley 92, Sunrise Mountain 60 — At Sunrise Mountain, Ryan Johnson led four players in double figures with 15 points as the Vikings topped the Miners.

Spencer Mathis scored 14 points, Daniel Young had 12 and Keanu Peters 10 for Valley, which led 54-29 at halftime.

Stephan Nathan had 14 points and Derrick Love 13 for Sunrise Mountain.

Coronado 81, Tech 28 — At Tech, Sam Bittner scored 13 points and Jordan Willis 12 as the Cougars routed the Roadrunners.

The teams were tied 7-7 after the first quarter, and Coronado took a 37-14 lead into halftime.

Green Valley 80, Del Sol 32 — At Green Valley, Devan Kohn had 19 points, and Durrell McDonald had 15 points, eight rebounds and seven steals as the Gators cruised past the Dragons.

Clyde Austin scored 17 and Lorenzo Jarvis 11 for Green Valley.

Tyrone Rouse led Del Sol with 12 points.

Agassi Prep 88, Laughlin 48 — At Laughlin, Anson Williams scored 17 points and Decari Lide chipped in 13 points to help lead the Stars to victory over the Cougars.

Devin Bailey had 11 points, and teammates David Bailey, Kalinn Jackson and Terrell Kemp each added 10 points for Agassi Prep.

Colton Hill supplied 22 points for Laughlin, which got 11 points from Averie Prosise.

Lake Mead 45, Pahranagat Valley 32 — At Alamo, Justin Yamzon scored 25 points, including a 6-for-6 effort from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter, as the Eagles downed the Panthers.

Derek Hansen scored 13 points, and Chase Hansen added 11 points for Pahranagat Valley.

Sandy Valley 82, Word of Life 49 — At Sandy Valley, Ryan Hagan poured in 30 points as the Sidewinders beat the Eagles.

Brandon Hughes added 22 points for Sandy Valley, and teammates Randal Spencer (17) and Daniel Soto (10) also scored in double figures.

Emeka Okafor paced Word of Life with 16 points.

Deja Manson scored 12 points for the Eagles, and teammate Toufic Awada added 10 points.

Indian Springs 48, Oasis Christian 45 — At Indian Springs, Dominic Morgando scored 14 points as the Thunderbirds outlasted the Bulldogs.

Brock Roadhouse added 10 points and 21 rebounds for Indian Springs.

Sam Carnicle led Oasis Christian with 18 points, and teammate Brandon Chamblee scored 10.

Spring Mountain 54, Mountain View JV 39 — Marquion White had 21 points to help the Eagles beat the Saints' junior varsity.

Daveion Merriweather added 13 points for Spring Mountain.
