ROUNDUP: Burns’ double-double helps Needles boys top Lake Mead

Aaron Burns had 18 points and 12 rebounds Saturday to lift Needles’ boys basketball team to an 83-72 home win over Lake Mead.

Lewie Larrabee supplied 22 points and seven rebounds, and Michael Hills added 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Mustangs.

Justin Yamzon drained nine 3-pointers en route to 37 points to pace the Eagles. Jordan Tillman added 15 points for Lake Mead.

Lincoln County 64, Calvary Chapel 46 — At Panaca, Ryan Rippetoe had 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Lynx defeated the Lions.

Chandler Katschke had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Lincoln County, which used a 17-4 run in the second quarter to pull away.

Derek Cheeney added six points and five steals for Lincoln County.

Matthew Engelson led Calvary Chapel with 12 points, and Bobby Buist added 10 points for the Lions.

Agassi Prep 88, Mountain View 45 — At Mountain View, Kalinn Jackson poured in 30 points, and the Stars built a 55-25 halftime lead before cruising past the Saints.

Devin Bailey added 15 points, and DeCari Lide scored 14 for Agassi Prep, which got 13 points from Darryl Green.

Matt Larson led Mountain View with 11 points.

Pahranagat Valley 50, Beatty 29 — At Beatty, Tyler Higbee scored 16 points, and the Panthers used a 16-5 run in the third quarter to down the Hornets.

Chase Hansen added 12 points for Pahranagat Valley.

Jose Moreno paced Beatty with nine points.

Sandy Valley 40, Oasis Christian 37 — At Oasis Christian, Ryan Hagan had 12 points, and the Sidewinders rallied from a slow start to down the Bulldogs.

Daniel Soto added 11 points for Sandy Valley, which trailed 15-12 at the half.

Samuel Carnicle led Oasis Christian with 13 points.

GIRLS

Mountain View 47, Agassi Prep 43 — At Mountain View, Briana Marruffo was 9-of-14 from the free-throw line and scored 11 points in the final quarter alone to lead the Saints past the Stars.

Marruffo finished with 26 points, and Kiley Murphy scored 10 for Mountain View, which trailed 28-26 after three quarters.

Jada Smith and Javoluee Green each had 12 points, and Noelle Chavis scored 10 for Agassi Prep.

The Meadows 41, Laughlin 30 — At The Meadows, Melissa Siegel had 14 points and Bailey Gosse scored 10 to lead the Mustangs past the Cougars.

Destiny Anderson paced Laughlin with 10 points.

Needles 66, Lake Mead 39 — At Needles, Calif., Abby Chandler scored 17 points, and the Mustangs bolted to a 43-17 halftime lead en route to a win over the Eagles.

Taylor Badua-Kono led Lake Mead with 18 points.

Lincoln County 58, Calvary Chapel 25 — At Panaca, Tia Florence led a balanced attack with 13 points, and the Lynx never looked back after taking a 16-3 first-quarter lead.

Elle Scott added 10 points for Lincoln County.

Phallen Nelson scored 15 points for the Lions.

Pahranagat Valley 47, Beatty 22 — At Beatty, Halie Lewis had 20 points and four steals as the Panthers routed the Hornets.

Bailee Hosier scored nine points for Pahranagat Valley, and Kimberly Lewis supplied six points and eight rebounds.

Teresa Gomez and Melynda Gross scored six points each for Beatty.

Sandy Valley 52, Oasis Christian 17 — At Oasis Christian, Kenzi Smith poured in 22 points, and the Sidewinders built a 23-7 halftime lead on their way to a win over the Bulldogs.

Christianna Fraley added 10 points for Sandy Valley.

Kristia Krebs paced Oasis Christian with six points.
