Roundup: Bishop Gorman tops Fairfax

Jamal Bey scored 12 of his 17 points in the first half on Saturday as Bishop Gorman’s boys basketball team earned a 55-48 win over Fairfax (California) at the Nike Extravaganza in Santa Ana, California.

Zaon Collins added nine points, and Isaiah Cottrell scored eight for the Gaels, who outscored Fairfax 21-10 in the second quarter to take a 33-29 halftime lead.

Jamal Hartwell led the Lions with 15 points. Kirk Smith added 14 points for Fairfax, and teammate Ethan Anderson scored 13.

Las Vegas 75, Pahrump Valley 45 — At Pahrump, Jaylin Headen had 19 points as the Wildcats rolled past the Trojans.

Donovan Joyner added 17 points, and Mory Souhamoro scored 15 for Las Vegas.

Notre Dame (Calif.) 64, Centennial 50 — At Centnenial, Anthony Holland scored 19 points to lead the Titans over the Bulldogs.

Pierce Sterling added 16 points, and Anton Mozga scored 12 for Notre Dame.

Aaryn Anderson led Centennial with 13 points, and teammate Ishon Hardin scored 10.

Tonopah 60, Indian Springs 58 — At Indian Springs, Carlos Guerrero scored 20 points as the Muckers edged the Thunderbirds in overtime.

Alex Katzenbach added 12 points for Tonopah.

Dallin Davis had 18 points for Indian Springs.

Pahranagat Valley 62, Sandy Valley 30 — At Alamo, Culen Highbe had 18 points and nine rebounds as the Panthers topped the Sidewinders.

Richard Lewis added eight points for Pahranagat Valley, which outscored Sandy Valley 18-2 in the second quarter.

Ramiro Solano-Sanchez had 10 points to lead the Sidewinders.
