Kaleb Bailey tallied 11 of his 31 points in overtime to help Boulder City’s boys basketball team survive for a 73-63 win over Canyon Springs (Calif.) in the Paloma Valley Winter Shootout.
The Eagles carried a 47-28 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Cougars used a 31-12 run to force the extra period.
Boulder City hit 10 of 12 free-throws in overtime to ice the game.
Foothill 63, Thousand Oaks (Calif.) 54 — At Honolulu, Elijah Smith poured in 21 points, and the Falcons made 24 of 36 free throws to top Thousand Oaks and earn a spot in the title game of the Merv Lopes Hoops Classic.
Austin Starr added 15 points for Foothill.
Whitney Young (Ill.) 76, Bishop Gorman 67 — At Myrtle Beach, S.C., Paul White tallied 23 points, and Jahlil Okafor scored 20 to lead the Dolphins to a win over the Gaels in the Beach Ball Classic.
Rashad Muhammad made 6 of 9 3-pointers and had 22 points to lead Gorman. Noah Robotham added 16 points, and Trey Kennedy scored 14 for the Gaels.
Elgin (Ill.) 60, Centennial 58 — At Elgin, Ill., Arie Williams tallied 24 points, and the host Maroons rallied from a 35-30 halftime deficit to nip the Bulldogs in the semifinals of the Elgin High Holiday Tournament.
Isaiah Butler added 19 points for Elgin.
Marcus Allen had 21 points, and Malcolm Allen added 20 points for Centennial, which missed a potential game-tying fade-away jumper in the final seconds.
Perris (Calif.) 72, Green Valley 71 — At Palm Springs, Calif., the Panthers nipped the Gators in the Maxpreps Holiday Classic.
Ikaika Pladera had 16 points, and Clyde Austin scored 15 for Green Valley. Tyler Roberts had 14 points, and Troy Cropper tallied 12 points for the Gators.
Delta (Utah) 83, Lincoln County 58 — At Cedar City, Utah, Hunter Johnson tallied 22 points as the Darts downed the Lynx in the Steve Hodson Classic.
