ROUNDUP: Anderson leads charge as Wildcats rally for win

Tyree Anderson scored 20 of his 29 points in the second half Monday as Las Vegas High’s boys basketball team rallied to beat visiting Eldorado, 84-78.

Hasaan Henderson scored 16 points in the second half and finished with 26 points and 14 rebounds as the Wildcats overcame deficits of 26-13 after the first quarter and 43-33 at the half.

Tanner Chauncey added 13 points and George Sanico had 10 for the Wildcats.

Ariel Baggett paced the Sundevils with 27 points. DaQuan Thrower added 21 points and Julian Jacobs had 10 for Eldorado.

Clark 60, Pahrump Valley 59 — At Clark, Steven Dancy scored the winning bucket in the final minute and the Chargers held

off the Trojans.

Dancy scored all of his team-high nine points in the second half.

David Smith and Shane Lindeman each scored 14 points to lead Pahrump.

Western 75, Sierra Vista 71 — At Western, Kentrell Washington had 21 points to help the Warriors hang on for the win.

Albert Miller had 14 points and eight rebounds, and Allen Davis added 11 points and eight rebounds for Western.

The Warriors, who were outscored 23-17 in the fourth quarter, held on despite having three players foul out.

Viko Noma’aea led Sierra Vista with 30 points. 

Valley 73, Rancho 67 — At Rancho, Kristian Kirkwood went 9-for-12 from the free-throw line and scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Vikings over the Rams.

Kirkwood finished with a game-high 29 points. Christian Kessee added 12 points for Valley.

Kris Hall had 13 points, Amir Royal added 11 and Fabian Dominguez chipped in 10 for Rancho.

Bishop Gorman 81, Durango 49 — At Gorman, Anson Winder had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Gaels past the Trailblazers.

Shabazz Muhammad added 18 points and Johnathan Loyd had 10 points and 12 assists for Gorman, which led 22-9 after the first quarter.

Greg Gentry had 15 points to lead Durango, and Donovan Williams added 14.

Chaparral 65, Sunrise Mountain 49 — At Sunrise Mountain, Andre Wright scored 22 points to lead the Cowboys to a road win.

Zachary Kirschbaum added 12 points and Kevin Morgan had 10 for Chaparral.

Matthew Marshall led Sunrise Mountain with 23 points. Jalal Hall scored 10 for the Miners.

Spring Valley 55, Bonanza 45 — At Spring Valley, Anton Stallworth scored 18 points to lead the Grizzlies past the Bengals.

Corey Clement added 13 points and Trey Whitley had 11 for Spring Valley, which made 11-of-15 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Tommy Gentile and Julian Romero each scored 10 points for Bonanza.

Canyon Springs 77, Desert Pines 60 — At Desert Pines, Adrian Snow led four double-figure scorers with 22 points, and the Pioneers scored 52 second-half points to down the Jaguars.

Michael Thompson added 19 points, Jared Brandon had 13 and Jeremy Alexander netted 11 for Canyon Springs.

Tyler Larson led Desert Pines with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Chancellor Davis added 14 points, and Caleb Myles scored 11 for the Jaguars.

Needles 42, River Valley (Ariz.) 38 — At Needles, Calif., Michael Hills had 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals to help the Mustangs hold on for the win.

Anthony Ramos added 10 points for Needles, which led 20-11 at halftime.
