ROUNDUP: Allen’s double-double leads Gorman boys to tournament-opening win

Bishop Gorman’s Rosco Allen had 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Gaels past North Port (Fla.) in the opening round of the City of Palms Classic, 62-48, in Fort Myers, Fla., on Friday.

Shabazz Muhammad added 19 points for the Gaels, who used a 25-10 run from the beginning of the second quarter to the middle of the third quarter to erase an early deficit and open up a 37-26 lead.

Ronnie Stanley added 17 rebounds for Gorman.

Casey Wilson paced North Port with 32 points.

Cheyenne 59, Shadow Ridge 47 — At Shadow Ridge, Khalid Banks scored 12 points to help lift the Desert Shields over the Mustangs.

Jaquon Coleman had 10 points for Cheyenne, which pulled away in the second half.

David Everage led Shadow Ridge with 24 points and seven rebounds.

Durango 75, Pahrump Valley 39 — At Durango, the Trailblazers used a big second half to rout the Trojans.

Greg Gentry had 20 points and seven rebounds — all of them after halftime — to lead Durango.

Teammate Tre’Von Wells added 16 points.

Dajhan Celius scored 10 points to lead Pahrump, which trailed 23-20 at the half.

Boulder City 65, Sunrise Mountain 52 — At Sunrise Mountain, Nate Hafen scored 15 points to help the Eagles rally for a victory over the Miners.

Ryan McQuillan added 12 points for Boulder City, which trailed 17-11 after the first quarter.

Jalal Hall scored 10 points to lead Sunrise Mountain.

Clark 47, Moapa Valley 33 — At Clark, D’Andre Henderson scored 16 points, and the Chargers held the Pirates to eight points in the second half to claim the win.

Bryan McGriff added 12 points for Clark, which trailed 25-19 at the break.

Josh Thompson led Moapa Valley with eight points.

Mountain View 56, Spring Mountain 35 — At Mountain View, Justyn Anderson had 20 points and six steals to lead the Saints past the Golden Eagles.

Braxton Matthews had 10 rebounds for Mountain View, which outscored Spring Mountain 31-11 in the second half.

Matthew Trapp led Spring Mountain with 11 points, all in the first half.

Lincoln County 79, White Pine 67 — At Ely, Dantley Walker had 45 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and 13 steals as the Lynx downed the Bobcats.

Chandler Katschke had 16 points, eight rebounds and five steals.

Josh Ashby had 15 points for White Pine.
