RECRUITING: Cheyenne point guard commits to Kansas
Cheyenne High point guard Elijah Johnson orally committed to attend Kansas on a basketball scholarship, according to a report Saturday on the Lawrence Journal-World's Web site.
Johnson, rated the nation's 27th-best recruit by Rivals.com, was in Lawrence, Kan., this weekend on an official recruiting visit.
"I'm pretty excited," Johnson told the Journal-World. "It was the best choice out there for me. In my opinion, it's the best place to be."
Kansas won the NCAA championship last season.
