Kelly Oubre had 25 points and 11 rebounds Thursday to help Findlay Prep’s boys basketball team to a 104-64 victory over Planet Athlete Academy (Ariz.) at Henderson International.

Craig Victor added 21 points and 12 boards, and Rashad Vaughn had 19 points, eight assists and five rebounds for the Pilots.

Derryck Thornton scored 16 for the Pilots, who stormed out to a 57-21 halftime lead and never looked back.

Findlay Prep (29-4) travels to Canada and New York before finding out if it will play in the High School National Tournament, on April 3-4 at Madison Square Garden. The tournament features eight of the top ranked teams in the nation. The Pilots are ranked No. 10 by USA Today.

“They got to continue to stay focused and look at the task at hand of winning the national championship,” Findlay Prep coach Jerome Williams said. “Tonight was one of the steps we needed to get there. We got to win out.”

Findlay Prep has won the national tournament three times since it began in 2009.
