Findlay Prep upsets top-ranked team

Cory Joseph had 23 points and nine rebounds Monday to help Findlay Prep hold on for a 71-70 win over St. Patrick (N.J.) at the HoopHall Classic at Springfield, Mass.
St. Patrick (11-1) entered the game ranked No. 1 nationally by USA Today, with Findlay Prep (22-1) at No. 4.
“It’s great for our guys. I haven’t been prouder of our guys since last April,” Findlay Prep coach Michael Peck said in a phone interview, referring to the Pilots’ National High School Invitational title. “This equals that.”
Joseph missed most of the third quarter battling what Peck said were leg cramps, but he returned to score seven points in the fourth.
Nick Johnson had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Findlay Prep.
