Findlay Prep tops Rise Academy

Nigel Williams-Goss hit a pair of key 3-pointers with just more than five minutes remaining in the game Friday to help Findlay Prep’s boys basketball team to a 95-84 win over Rise Academy (Pa.) at Henderson International.
The Pilots (26-3), ranked 12th nationally by USA Today, saw a 14-point lead whittled to one point before Williams-Goss drained the two 3-pointers. The Pilots iced the game by making free throws down the stretch. Findlay Prep was 33 of 43 from the free-throw line in the game.
Amir Garrett and Nick Johnson each had 18 points for Findlay Prep. Williams-Goss scored 17, Anthony Bennett 15 and Myck Kabongo 14 for the Pilots.
Warren Gillis paced Rise Academy with 27 points, and teammate Jordan Gathers scored 20.
