BOYS BASKETBALL: Williams clutch in overtime as Mustangs top Sundevils

Isaiah Williams scored eight of his 16 points in overtime to lead Shadow Ridge to an 80-76 home win over Eldorado on Friday.

Shadow Ridge's Jerell Springer was fouled making a layup with three seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 70. But Springer, who scored 16 points, missed the free throw, and the game went to overtime.

Kevin Branch added 19 points, and teammate James Fuller scored 14 for the Mustangs, who led 51-34 after three quarters.

Carmonte Jones paced the Sundevils with 27 points. Shane Barnes had 18 points, and Carl Crayon scored 15 for Eldorado.

Mojave 68, Palo Verde 65 — At Mojave, Chrishawn Thomas had 30 points to lift the Rattlers over the Panthers.

Thomas hit two free throws with less than a minute to play to put Mojave ahead 66-65. After Palo Verde missed a layup, Thomas had a dunk as time expired to ice the win. The Rattlers outscored the Panthers 25-8 in the fourth quarter to rally for the win.

Thomas made five of Mojave's eight 3-pointers.

Richard Edwards added 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Daryl Adams had 16 points and nine assists for the Rattlers.

Taylor Miller led Palo Verde with 19 points, and teammate James Camp scored 11.

Las Vegas 60, Arbor View 52 — At Las Vegas, Marquise Raybon went 14-for-15 from the free-throw line and had 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Wildcats by the Aggies.

Donovan Joyner and DiQuan Brown each added seven points for Las Vegas, which trailed 32-30 at the half.

Arbor View's Comillion Smith had 16 points, and Favor Chukwukelu added 11 points for the Aggies.

Cheyenne 68, Spring Valley 46 — At Spring Valley, Kavon Williams led four double-figure scorers with 17 points as the Desert Shields routed the Grizzlies.

Dewayne Alexander had 14 points, and William Moore added 13 points for Cheyenne, which got 10 points from Alahjan Banks.

Sal Everett led Spring Valley with 12 points.

Bonanza 77, Pahrump Valley 53 — At Bonanza, Dylan Hafen had 14 points to help the Bengals top the Trojans.

Jamal Logan added 12 points, Davian Jordan scored 11 and Travis Jenkins 10 for Bonanza, which led 22-12 after one quarter.

Danny Foss led Pahrump with 23 points.

Centennial 81, Liberty 43 — At Liberty, Troy Brown scored 15 points as the Bulldogs rolled over the Patriots.

Roy Sparks added 14 points for Centennial, which connected on 11 three-pointers. Isaiah Banks had 13 points for the Bulldogs.

Logan Koch led Liberty with 11 points.

Findlay Prep 77, Silverado 30 — At Silverado, P.J. Washington scored 24 points as the Pilots cruised past the Skyhawks.

The game was tied at 15 at the end of the first quarter, but Findlay outscored Silverado 18-2 in the second to take control.

Markus Howard added 21 points for the Pilots, and teammate Carlos Johnson scored 10.

Tyric Johnson led Silverado with eight points.

Mountain View 53, Moapa Valley 47 — At Overton, Tevin Gray scored 23 points as the Saints rallied from a 28-21 halftime deficit to top the Pirates.

Terrence Brooks added 13 points, and Tyrell Brooks scored 11 for Mountain View, which used a 17-5 third-quarter run to take the lead.

Nate Cox and Derek Cope each had 15 points, and teammate Jay Mortensen scored 11 for Moapa Valley.

Needles 37, Lincoln County 25 — At Panaca, Derek Wagstaff and Michael Chavez each scored 11 points to lead the Mustangs by the Lynx.

Trenton Poe-Evans added nine points for Needles, which led 23-11 at halftime.

Derek Cox led Lincoln County with six points.

Beatty 58, Sandy Valley 38 — At Sandy Valley, Jacob Oseguera scored 23 points to lead the Hornets by the Sidewinders.

Bryan Ortiz-Villalba added 13 points for Beatty, which trailed 23-22 at the half.

Wyatt Robinson had 14 points, and Nick Dresden scored 12 for Sandy Valley.

Calvary Chapel 60, Lake Mead 33 — At Calvary Chapel, Cameron Varela had 20 points to help the Lions top the Eagles.

Quentin Hank added 13 points for Calvary Chapel, which led 37-13 at the half.

Shay Rutledge led Lake Mead with 13 points, and teammate Noah Tassi scored 10.
