BOYS BASKETBALL: Rancho comes back from early hole to sink Las Vegas

Chrys Jackson scored 26 points to help the Rancho boys basketball team overturn a 22-9 first-quarter deficit and down host Las Vegas 69-61 on Tuesday.

Justin Holiday scored 24 points for the Rams, who outscored Las Vegas 24-7 in the fourth quarter.

Deondre Northey led all Wildcats with 21 points. Donovan Joyner scored 17 for Las Vegas.

Clark 63, Sierra Vista 53 — At Clark, Trey Woodbury scored 16 points as the Chargers took down the Mountain Lions.

James Bridges and Sedrick Hammond each scored 10 for the Chargers, who led 30-11 at halftime.

Sierra Vista’s Maka Ellis led all scorers with 34 points.

Canyon Springs 81, Valley 61 — At Canyon Springs, Christopher Hawkins scored a game-high 23 points as the Pioneers topped the Vikings.

Kevin Legardy added 15 points, and Jovon Coleman supplied 10 points for Canyon Springs, which led 39-29 at halftime.

John King scored 21, and Bryce Jones had 15 points for Valley.

Desert Pines 64, Eldorado 54 — At Eldorado, Trevon Abdullah-Booker poured in 30 points to lead the Jaguars past the Sundevils.

Capri Uzan added 17 points for Desert Pines, which led 28-21 at halftime.

Kemo Bell had 22 points, and Patrick Parkes scored 12 for Eldorado. Dexter Davis added 11 points for the Sundevils.

Chaparral 78, Tech 49 — At Chaparral, Ronnie Hicks had 25 points, and Samuel Porras scored 22 to carry the Cowboys over the Roadrunners.

John Brooks added 10 points for the Cowboys, who led 50-25 at halftime.

Jurelle Orbino led the Roadrunners with 15 points.

Bishop Gorman 83, Desert Oasis 46 — At Desert Oasis, Christian Popoola led four players in double figures with 14 points as the Gaels cruised by the Diamondbacks.

Chuck O’Bannon and Ryan Kiley each scored 12 points, and Jamal Bey supplied 10 points for Gorman, which led 56-24 at halftime.

Jacob Heese scored 13 points for Desert Oasis.

Durango 71, Spring Valley 45 — At Durango, Zyare Ruffin had 20 points and seven rebounds, and Nicquel Blake added 10 points and seven rebounds as the Trailblazers downed the Grizzlies.

Filip Bosnajak supplied nine points for Durango.

Ryan Frazier led Spring Valley with 20 points.

Del Sol 56, Boulder City 31 — At Del Sol, Jonathan Spearman had 18 points and 10 rebounds to power the Dragons by the Eagles.

Nati Asfaw had 12 points, and Barry Williams added nine points for Del Sol.

Karson Bailey and Justus Green each scored seven points to lead Boulder City.

Moapa Valley 63, Beaver Dam 21 — At Overton, Tyler Petersen scored 13 points, and Trey Jones tallied 12 points as the Pirates routed the Diamondbacks.

Nathaniel Thompson added nine points, and Valdemar Braunstein and Dalyn Leavitt scored eight apiece for Moapa Valley, which took a 24-5 first quarter lead.

Uriel Perez and Manny Villarreal each scored seven points for Beaver Dam.

Mountain View 63, Lake Mead 61 — At Mountain View, Tyrell Brooks completed a four-point play with 18.3 seconds remaining to give the Saints the win over the Eagles.

Brooks, who had 24 points, hit a 3-pointer and free throw to put Mountain View up 62-61. Lake Mead missed a pair of shots, and a held ball after the second gave the ball back to the Saints.

Tyrell Brooks was fouled with 4.5 seconds left and made 1 of 2 free throws for the final margin.

Terrence Brooks scored a game-high 27 points for Mountain View.

Shay Rutledge led the Eagles with 13 points.

Innovations International 76, Sandy Valley 42 — At Sandy Valley, Justin Evans had 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Ambassadors past the Sidewinders.

Derec Anderson added 16 points, and Jaheim Ray scored 10 for Innovations.

Wyatt Robinson paced Sandy Valley with 14 points, and Brandon Eastham scored 14 for the Sidewinders.

Adelson School 56, Needles 46 — At Needles, California, Jake Buchman had 14 points to help the Lions top the Mustangs.

Miles Hagan added 12 points, and Brandon Pappas scored nine for Adelson School.

Trey Tsosie led Needles with 18 points.
