BOYS BASKETBALL: Leslie lifts Diamondbacks to tournament win

Kodi Leslie scored 16 points Thursday to lead Desert Oasis’ boys basketball team to a 60-52 win over Show Low (Ariz.) in the White Mountain Holiday Classic at Pinetop-Lakeside, Ariz.

Drevin Cannon added 11 points for the Diamondbacks.

Desert Oasis 50, Dysart (Ariz.) 45 — At Pinetop-Lakeside, Ariz., Deric Hammock scored 13 points as the Diamondbacks won their opener in the White Mountain Holiday Classic.

Leslie added 10 points for Desert Oasis, which trailed 23-21 at the half.

Arbor View 63, Natrona County (Wyo.) 45 — At Gillette, Wyo., Isaiah Simmons had 12 points, 12 rebounds and five steals to help the Aggies to the win over the Mustangs in the Energy Classic.

Justin Burks had 17 points to lead four scorers in double figures for Arbor View. Terrell Butler finished with 16 points, and Charles Porter scored 11 for the Aggies.

Corey Moore added 10 assists and six steals for Arbor View.
