BOYS BASKETBALL: Friel, Crusaders top Mojave in overtime

Zach Friel scored seven points in overtime Wednesday to lead Faith Lutheran's boys basketball team to a 62-52 road win over Mojave.

Friel finished with 23 points, and Luke Bergen scored 16 for the Crusaders, who led 24-12 at the half. Bergen was 6-for-6 from the line in overtime to help seal the win.

Daryl Adams led Mojave with 22 points. Chrishawn Thomas added 17 points for the Rattlers, who had the final possession in regulation.

Mojave called a timeout with about 10 seconds to go in the fourth quarter and set up a lob play, but the pass was high.

Durango 65, Shadow Ridge 62 — At Durango, Demetrius Valdez had 24 points and six assists, and went 4-for-4 from the line in the final 17 seconds to lift the Trailblazers over the Mustangs.

Jason Landman had 21 points and 10 rebounds for Durango, which made 10 3-pointers. Valdez and Landman each made four 3-pointers.

Shadow Ridge's James Fuller had 22 points, and teammate Jerell Springer scored 14. Kevin Branch had 13 points for the Mustangs.

Sunrise Mountain 50, Boulder City 46 — At Boulder City, Tyri White scored 23 points to help the Miners rally past the Eagles.

Sunrise Mountain outscored Boulder City 19-8 in the fourth quarter to pull out the victory.

Boulder City's Tanner Montgomery scored 11 points, and Zach Murphy added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles.

Chaparral 68, Del Sol 46 — At Del Sol, Marc Silas led four double-figure scorers with 18 points as the Cowboys topped the Dragons.

Ronnie Hicks had 12 points, Samuel Porras had 11 points and Richard Nelson scored 10 for Chaparral.

Jonathan Spearman led Del Sol with 17 points.

Cheyenne 80, Spring Valley 40 — At Cheyenne, Dewayne Alexander had 21 points and nine rebounds as the Desert Shields routed the Grizzlies.

William Moore supplied 16 points and 10 rebounds, and teammate Alahjan Banks had eight points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for Cheyenne.

Ryan Frazier led Spring Valley with 11 points.

Clark 75, Western 39 — At Western, Darius Jackson led all scorers with 23 points as the Chargers routed the Warriors.

Jalen Hill added 10 points, and James Bridges and Keyshaun Webb each had nine points for Clark, which led 45-18 at halftime.

Muhrad McCluney led Western with 10 points.

Sierra Vista 71, Pahrump Valley 30 — At Pahrump, Maui SeraJosef led three double-figure scorers with 19 points as the Mountain Lions routed the Trojans.

Maka Ellis added 17 points, and Maitland Williams scored 14 for Sierra Vista, which led 38-15 at halftime.

Danny Foss led Pahrump with 16 points.

Desert Pines 73, Tech 24 — At Tech, Capri Uzan had 16 points as the Jaguars routed the Roadrunners.

Greg Floyd added 13 points, and Curtis Henderson scored 10 for Desert Pines, which led 51-10 at the half.

Sir-Issak Singleton had six points for Tech.
