BOYS BASKETBALL: Crisp shooting leads Rainier Beach past Gorman

David Crisp made 6 of 7 3-pointers and finished with 27 points Monday to lead Rainier Beach (Wash.) to a 95-67 win over Bishop Gorman’s boys basketball team in the championship game of the Les Schwab Invitational in Portland, Ore.

Dejounte Murray added 17 points, and Shaqquan Aaron scored 16 for the Vikings, who led 18-14 after one quarter before extending the lead to 72-49 after three quarters.

The Vikings hit 10 3-pointers in the first 20 minutes of the game and shot 13-for-19 from beyond the arc on the night.

Noah Robotham paced the Gaels with 23 points. Chase Jeter added 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Stephen Zimmerman had 12 points for Gorman.

Boulder City 60, Carter (Calif.) 59 — At Menifee, Calif., Tyler Newby and Marcus Walker each had 19 points, and the Eagles held on to beat the Lions in the Paloma Valley Winter Shootout.

The Eagles led 44-36 after three quarters, but survived after missing the front end of a one-and-one with less than three seconds to play.

Jaylen Bowman had 14 points for Carter.

Green Valley 68, Menlo (Calif.) 54 — At San Diego, Troy Cropper scored 20 points as the Gators ran away from the Knights in the Maxpreps Holiday Classic.

Brandon Burke scored 14 points, and Tyrell Crosby added 10 points for the Gators.

JW North (Calif.) 61, Foothill 49 — At San Diego, Dikymbe Martin had 17 points to lead the Huskies past the Falcons in the title game of the Gear to the Max bracket in the Maxpreps Holiday Classic.

Deshon Taylor added 14 points for JW North, which led 29-20 at the half.

Jalen Shepard and Austin Starr each had 14 points, and Torrance Littles scored 11 for Foothill.

Desert Hills (Utah) 44, Virgin Valley 39 — At Mesquite, Quincy Matthews had 14 points to lead the Thunder by the Bulldogs.

Trey Tanner added 13 points for Desert Hills.

Garrett Leavitt made four 3-pointers and had 15 points, and Dee Bowler added 14 points for Virgin Valley.

Archbishop O’Leary (Canada) 61, Del Sol 44 — At Costa Mesa, Calif., Wyatt Beaver scored 19 points to help the Spartans down the Dragons at the Estancia/Tustin Classic.

Brian Greer paced Del Sol with 14 points, and teammate Kyle Collins scored 10.
