BOYS BASKETBALL: Booker scores 35 as Stars wrap up outright title

Deishuan Booker drained five 3-pointers and finished with 35 points Friday as Agassi Prep’s boys basketball team clinched the outright Division III Southern League title with an 87-50 win at Calvary Chapel.

Dennis Walker had 17 points, and Stephan Laushaul scored 10 for the Stars, who led only 30-27 at the half.

Quentin Hank had 19 points, and Chris Basilio scored 14 for the Lions.

Sierra Vista 69, Pahrump Valley 46 — At Sierra Vista, Mikko Balmes scored 15 points, and the Mountain Lions overcame an early 15-14 deficit to top the Trojans.

Giovanni Santana had 13 points and nine rebounds for Sierra Vista.

James Broadhead had 19 points for Pahrump.

The Meadows 64, Lake Mead 41 — At Lake Mead, Brian Fridman scored 18 points, and Jake Epstein added 14 points to help the Mustangs top the Eagles.

Eric Hirsberg added 12 points for The Meadows, which outscored Lake Mead 25-9 in the fourth quarter.

Dylan Graham had 10 points for the Eagles.

Pahranagat Valley 36, Beatty 28 — At Beatty, Wade Leavitt scored nine of his 13 points in the second half to help the Panthers rally past the Hornets and clinch the No. 4 seed for the Division IV Southern League playoffs.

Tabor Maxwell scored all seven of his points in the second half for Pahranagat Valley, which trailed 14-7 at halftime.

Jacob Zamora led Beatty with 16 points.

Word of Life 63, Round Mountain 53 — At Word of Life, Edoziem Okafor scored 20 points, and the Eagles clinched the No. 3 seed for the Division IV Southern League playoffs by topping the Knights.

Elijah Hoye added 19 points for Word of Life.

Carlos Chavez paced Round Mountain with 23 points.

Sandy Valley 51, Indian Springs 24 — At Sandy Valley, Raphael Acuna had 15 points as the Sidwinders topped the Thunderbirds.

James Rau added 14 points for Sandy Valley, which led 24-14 at the half.
