BASKETBALL: Gray helps Mountain View boys top Panthers

Tevin Gray scored eight of his 22 points in the fourth quarter Saturday to help Mountain View's boys basketball team to a 51-35 home win over Pahranagat Valley.

Tyrell Brooks added 13 points for the Saints, who led only 29-28 after three quarters.

Tabor Maxwell paced the Panthers with 12 points.

Needles 66, White Pine 42 — At Ely, Trenton Poe-Evans scored 15 points to help the Mustangs top the Bobcats.

Irving Juarez added 12 points for Needles, which led 25-4 after one quarter.

Jonathan Gust and Dekoda Barela each had 11 points for White Pine.

Beaver Dam 59, Lund 38 — At Littlefield, Ariz., Luiz Gonzalez had 21 points to lead the Diamondbacks by the Mustangs.

Kevin Santos added nine points for Beaver Dam, which led 21-6 after one quarter.

Kaden Egbert led Lund with 14 points, and teammate Brendon Rimington scored 13.

GIRLS

Ashlyn Huntington scored 27 points to help host White Pine hold off Needles, 57-53 in Ely.

Britney Kingston added eight points for the Bobcats, who were 28-for-52 from the free-throw line.

Brenna Chavez paced the Mustangs with 20 points. Jayne Antone added 16 points for Needles, which went 17-for-27 from the line.

Lincoln County 52, Laughlin 21 — At Panaca, Kailey Kelley had 11 points and six rebounds to help the Lynx rout the Cougars.

Easton Tingey added 11 points for Lincoln County, which led 17-5 after one quarter.

Teresa Chapa led Laughlin with seven points.

Pahranagat Valley 39, Mountain View 14 — At Mountain View, Alyson Egbert scored 12 points to lead the Panthers by the Saints.

Madalyn Taylor added nine points for Pahranagat Valley, which led 19-7 at the half.

Tayah De'Bouck led Mountain View with six points.
