BASKETBALL: Diers helps Calvary Chapel boys top White Pine

Killian Diers had 23 points Saturday to lead Calvary Chapel’s boys basketball team to a 74-61 home win over White Pine.

D.J. Golden added 14 points and 18 rebounds, and Cameron Varela scored 14 points for the Lions, who led only 37-33 at the half.

Chris Young had 19 points, and Dekoda Barela scored 10 for the Bobcats.

Clark 66, Liberty 29 — At Clark, the Chargers rolled past the Patriots.

Santa Monica (Calif.) 59, Durango 50 — At Fairfax, Calif., Spencer Freedman hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:30 to play as the Vikings stormed back from a 22-7 first-quarter deficit to down the Trailblazers in the State Preview Classic.

GIRLS

Lincoln County 54, The Meadows 38 — At The Meadows, Tanji Tibbitts and Kayla Mathews each had 10 points as the Lynx used a balanced attack to down the Mustangs.

Savannah Harr added nine points for Lincoln County, which led only 30-26 at the half.

Cassidy Gosse had 14 points, and Bailey Gosse scored 11 for The Meadows.

White Pine 39, Calvary Chapel 27 — At Calvary Chapel, Ashlynn Huntington scored 12 points to lead the Bobcats by the Lions.

Jaden Ernest and Britney Kingston each had seven points for White Pine, which led 24-10 at the half.

Marissa Tiemann paced Calvary Chapel with 11 points.
