Basic-Foothill boys to resume today; play-in game set for Cimarron, Arbor View
Basic and Foothill will resume their boys basketball game at 3:30 p.m. today at Foothill.
The game was halted last night just 30 seconds into overtime when a melee broke out in the stands, involving several fans and one Basic player.
The game is tied at 61-61.
Foothill already has secured the Southeast League’s No. 2 seed for the Sunrise Region playoffs.
If Basic wins, it will wrap up the league’s No. 4 seed. If the Wolves lose, they’ll face Green Valley in a play-in game at 6 p.m. Friday at Valley for the final spot.
In the Northwest League, Arbor View and Cimarron-Memorial will have a play-in game for the league’s final spot in the Sunset Region boys tournament. That game will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Centennial.
