ROUNDUP: Sixth-inning surge rallies Gators past Patriots

Bradon Rogers had two doubles and two RBIs, and Green Valley’s baseball team erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the sixth inning Monday en route to an 8-4 win over visiting Liberty.

Derrick Harmon went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Gators, who had seven hits in the sixth inning.

Josh McCollum homered for Liberty, which led 4-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth.

Valley 3, Eldorado 1 — At Valley, Omar Gonzalez went 1-for-2 with a two-run double in the first inning as the Vikings edged the Sundevils.

Juan Deolarte went 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI for Valley.

Brandon Gallegos was 2-for-3 with a triple for Eldorado.

Durango 4, Western 1 — At Western, Brett Neighbors pitched a three-hitter, striking out five and allowing only an unearned run to lead the Trailblazers past the Warriors.

Jacob Dismont was 1-for-3 with a fifth-inning solo home run for Durango.

Western’s Anthony Chojnacki and Daniel Buzzard combined on a four-hitter.

Sunrise Mountain 7, Desert Pines 4 — At Sunrise Mountain, Nick Snyder went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Saul Blanco had a two-run triple to lead the Miners past the Jaguars.

Ernie Senda had a double and an RBI to help Sunrise Mountain, which rallied for five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Iquan Corsey went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases to lead Desert Pines.

Silverado 7, Foothill 3 — At Foothill, Hunter Welch pitched a five-hitter and allowed only one earned run to lead the Skyhawks past the Falcons.

Mike Meyers was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored for Silverado. Bryan Faucher went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI, and Cameron Rosser was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI for the Skyhawks.

Tyler Norris went 2-for-3 with two runs for Foothill. 

Basic 5, Tech 0 — At Tech, Dean Gettman hit a solo home run in the first inning, and Ryan Weldon pitched a two-hit shutout to lead the Wolves past the Roadrunners.

Ryan Blatnik was 3-for-4 with a run scored, and Anthony Lee went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run for Basic.

Coronado 7, Del Sol 2 — At Del Sol, Dillon Fahr was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI as the Cougars topped the Dragons.

Miles Bice went 1-for-2 with a run scored and four stolen bases for Coronado, which got a solo home run from Cody Howard.

Bishop Gorman 9, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Cody Roper tossed a seven-hitter with 11 strikeouts, and also homered and drove in three runs to lead the Gaels by the Bengals.

Joey Gallo was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs, and Johnny Sewald went 2-for-3 for Gorman, which also got a solo home run from Cameron Cole.

Sean DeSoto was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Daniel Romero went 2-for-4 for Bonanza.

Sierra Vista 13, Clark 1 — At Clark, Daniel Gonzales was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs to help the Mountain Lions cruise past the Chargers in five innings.

Cole Crosby went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI to help Sierra Vista, which sealed the win with a six-run fifth inning. Teammate Nolan Kingham pitched a complete-game three-hitter with five strikeouts.

Lincoln County 15, White Pine 2 — At Panaca, Derek Cheeney went 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI to help the Lynx rout the Bobcats in five innings.

Dallin Pearson was 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI for Lincoln County, which scored nine runs in the first inning. Ryan Lloyd scored two runs for the Lynx.

Lincoln County starter Colton Johnson threw four innings, allowing no earned runs and striking out five.
