ROUNDUP: Silverado slips past Basic

Silverado scored a run on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth to edge visiting Basic 3-2 on Tuesday.

Bobby Johnson was 2-for-3 with a double and a run for the Skyhawks.

Jacob Parr was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Basic.

Coronado 5, Liberty 2 — At Liberty, Matt Kaser went the distance, striking out 11, as the Cougars beat the Patriots.

Kaser struck out eight of the last 10.

Kyle Rynearson went the distance for Liberty, striking out 11. He also hit a home run.

Foothill 11, Green Valley 8 — At Green Valley, Jordan Stewart went 3-for-3 with a double, home run and three RBIs as the Falcons outslugged the Gators.

Dylan Ellis had three hits and three RBIs for Foothill.

Tyler Blair was 2-for-4 with a double for Green Valley.

Spring Valley 7, Bonanza 3 — At Bonanza, Chase LaComb was 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, three RBIs and two runs to lead the Grizzlies over the Bengals.

Billy Bob Ward had a homer and two RBIs for Spring Valley, which led 7-0 after two innings.

Aaron Blair struck out eight and allowed one earned run on five hits in six innings to get the win.

Bonanza’s Sterling Sprau was 2-for-3 with an RBI. 

Rancho 10, Heritage (Colo.) 4 — At Rancho, Eric Holdren pitched 4 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to lead the Rams to their ninth straight win.

Holdren allowed one hit and struck out 11.

Holdren, Gabe Chavira and James Cammack each had two hits for Rancho, which rallied for five runs in the fourth to pull away.

Legacy 18, Shadow Ridge 8 — At Shadow Ridge, Joey Lauria was 5-for-5 with a double and five RBIs as the Longhorns beat the Mustangs in five innings.

Donald Glover went 4-for-5 with an RBI for Legacy.

Shadow Ridge’s Allan Butler was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs.

Sierra Vista 18, Western 0 — At Sierra Vista, Alex Estrella and Kyle Gamble combined on a five-inning no-hitter to lead the Mountain Lions past the Warriors.

Estrella struck out five in three innings.

Brooks Klein was 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs for Sierra Vista. Connor Klein went 3-for-3 with a double.

Cimarron-Memorial 12, Palo Verde 1 — At Palo Verde, Taylor Doyle drove in three runs to highlight the Spartans’ seven-run fifth.

Kris Kaplan was 3-for-4 with a double and A.J. Hernandez went 3-for-3 with an RBI for Cimarron.

Dyllon Nuernberg and Kody Gorden combined on a two-hitter for the Spartans.

Del Sol 14, Tech 0 — At Tech, Jeff Coon went 3-for-3 with a double and a triple and Scottez Dobbins was 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs as the Dragons routed the Roadrunners.

Dan Doph went 3-for-5 with a double, triple and two RBIs.

Jarett Tufono and Jeff Chronister combined on a one-hitter for Del Sol.

Bishop Gorman 20, Durango 1 — At Durango, Jeff Malm went 4-for-5 with three runs and four RBIs as the Gaels used a seven-run first inning and an eight-run fifth to rout the Trailblazers.

R.J. Santigate, Neil Lawhorn and Joey Rickard each had three of Gorman’s 21 hits.

Joey Rickard and Tyler Wagner combined on a three-hitter for the Gaels.

Arbor View 10, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Zach Hartman threw a one-hitter with nine strikeouts to lead the Aggies to the five-inning win.

Nick Urban was 3-for-4 with five RBIs for Arbor View.

Pahrump Valley 8, Clark 4 — At Pahrump, Eli Cline and Joe McCaw each went 3-for-4 as the Trojans opened Southwest League play by beating the Chargers.

Centennial 12, Cheyenne 2 — At Centennial, the Bulldogs banged out five triples in a five-inning win over the Desert Shields.

Dominick Montero tripled twice and scored three runs and Loral Monson went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and an RBI.

Matt Triana supplied two hits, two runs and two RBIs for Centennial. Winning pitcher Anthony Consiglio gave up three hits and struck out six.

Mountain View 14, Henderson International 11 — At Henderson International, Dylan Martin was 4-for-5 with three runs to lead the Saints over the Wolverines.

Joel Isola added two doubles for Mountain View, which was helped by six Henderson International errors.

Nick Powell was 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI for the Wolverines.

Beatty 13-17, Big Pine (Calif.) 1-3 — At Beatty, the Hornets swept the Warriors.

Anthony Regalado was 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs in the first game.

Kyle Marchand allowed one hit in five innings, striking out nine, to get the win.

In the second game, Jacob Sumpter was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Isias Flores was 2-for-2 with a triple, three runs and four RBIs to lead Beatty.
