Roundup: One hit enough for Silverado in 1-0 win over Foothill

Andrew Maxwell’s RBI single in the top of the sixth lifted Silverado’s baseball team to a 1-0 road win over Foothill on Saturday.

Maxwell’s single was the lone hit for the Skyhawks. Grant McCarty tossed a four-hitter with five strikeouts to get the win.

Kelton Lachelt went the distance for Foothill, allowing an unearned run and striking out four.

Andrew Hauck doubled for the Falcons.

Green Valley 5, Las Vegas 2 — At Green Valley, the Gators scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to take down the Wildcats.

Joe DiGiacomo threw a complete game for the Gators, and Gavin Amelburu and Scott Gruber each had a double and two RBIs. Max Luega also doubled for Green Valley.

Martin Simmons doubled for the Wildcats.

Eldorado 8, Valley 3 — At Eldorado, Aaron Rogers was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI to help the Sundevils to victory over the Vikings.

Gilbert Pompa went the distance, allowing two earned runs and striking out eight to get the win.

Christian Younger was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Eldorado, and Ozzy Ojeda and Derrik Buck each added two hits and a run for the Sundevils, who scored seven runs in the fourth inning.

Gary Bricker was 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI to lead Valley. Leeland Crawford went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and teammate Gatlin Hardiman was 2-for-4 with a run for the Vikings.

Basic 10, Canyon Springs 0 — At Basic, Jesse Fonteboa went 4-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs to lead the Wolves over the Pioneers in six innings.

Garrett Giles was 2-for-2 with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs, and Kyle Turner went 2-for-2 with three runs for Basic.

Kai Symonds allowed three hits over five innings with five strikeouts to pick up the victory.

Legacy 8, Pahrump Valley 7 — At Legacy, Zach Ahmed went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and an RBI as the Longhorns edged the Trojans.

Forrest Grevelis was 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI, and Zachary Chin went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI for Legacy, which took the lead with a six-run third inning.

Chase McDaniel was 3-for-4 with a double, a run and three RBIs to lead Pahrump. Willie Lucas went 3-for-5 with a double a run and an RBI for the Trojans.
