ROUNDUP: Killebrew’s six-hitter carries Desert Oasis to 2-1 victory

Zane Killebrew pitched a six-hitter with three strikeouts to carry Desert Oasis to a 2-1 road victory over Silverado on Tuesday.

Tanner Dushane had two doubles and an RBI for Silverado.

Liberty 8, Cheyenne 7 — At Liberty, Trevor Williams drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh inning to break a 7-7 tie and rescue the Patriots.

The Desert Shields had tied the game with four runs in the top of the inning.

Liberty’s Travis Fryman had a home run and two RBIs, and Kyle Rynearson was 2-for-3.

Marquise Hall was 2-for-2 with an RBI for Cheyenne.

Bonanza 11, Faith Lutheran 9 — At Faith Lutheran, Kris Bryant went 3-for-5 with a home run, double and two RBIs as the Bengals outlasted the Crusaders.

Heriberto Orozco went 3-for-5 with two triples and an RBI for Bonanza.

Bobby Burns homered for Faith Lutheran.

Rancho 9, Basic 3 — At Basic, the Rams’ P.J. Matha hit a pinch-hit two-run double to break a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning.

Eric Holdren recorded four outs for the save, coming on with two on and two out in the sixth to preserve a 5-3 lead. Rancho scored four in the top of the seventh to pull away.

Michael Cruz was 2-for-3 for Rancho.

Chaparral 10, Del Sol 3 — At Chaparral, Robert Evans struck out eight, walked none and pitched a complete game to lead the Cowboys over the Dragons.

In the fourth inning, Evans struck out the final two batters with the bases loaded and Chaparral clinging to a 6-3 lead.

Ricky Perez homered for the Cowboys. Chris Hampton was 3-for-4 with a double for Del Sol.

Bishop Gorman 16, Wilson (Ore.) 3 — At Scottsdale, Ariz., Erik Van Meetren homered twice, had four RBIs and scored three runs to lead the Gaels to their first victory.

Joey Rickard had a homer, double and five RBIs for Gorman, which scored 10 runs in the fifth. Jeff Malm, Neil Lawhorn and Johnny Field also had two hits.

Cimarron-Memorial 12, Foothill 2 — At Cimarron-Memorial, Bradley Oswald pitched a six-inning four-hitter, needing only 65 pitches to beat the Falcons.

Kody Gorden, who was 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs, hit the game-ending double for Cimarron.  Dyllon Nuernberg was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.

Jake Ferdinand homered for Foothill.

Tech 9, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, Justin Vasquez pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts and doubled to help the Roadrunners beat the Jaguars.

Chris Sambol went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs for Tech.

James Young homered, singled and scored both runs for Desert Pines.

Centennial 22, Coronado 6 — At Coronado, Dominick Monteiro was 4-for-5 with five RBIs as the Bulldogs routed the Cougars.

Centennial’s Sam Friend was 4-for-5 with two runs, and Blane Bevilacqua went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.

Justin Souza-Grenier tripled for Coronado.

Arbor View 14, Valley 1 — At Valley, Marquis Towers went 3-for-3 with a triple and three runs to help the Aggies beat the Vikings in five innings.

Winner Zach Hartman struck out six and allowed one hit over four innings.

Jacob Badger was 2-for-3 for Arbor View.

Eldorado 22, Mojave 0 — At Eldorado, Cory Keplinger fired a one-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead the Sundevils to a five-inning victory.

Alan Guerrero supplied a three-run homer. Daniel LeCavalier had three hits, three RBIs and three runs, while Jared Hoven doubled, tripled, drove in three runs and scored three.

Legacy 29, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Joey Lauria went 3-for-6 with two doubles and scored four runs as the Longhorns scored coasted past the Pioneers.

Chase Skinner and Austin Christiansen also went 3-for-6 for Legacy, which scored seven runs in the first inning.

Henderson International 13-21, Spring Mountain 2-1 — At Henderson International, Charles Pachas doubled, tripled and drove in four runs, and Keenan Gladd-Brown was 3-for-3 with two RBIs for the Wolverines in the first game.

Winning pitcher Jon Dapper struck out 10.

In the second game, Dapper was 4-for-4 with two RBIs. Vinh Thai went 3-for-5 with a home run, triple and five RBIs, and Jay Sutorius was 3-for-5 with two RBIs.

Beatty 15-20, Mountain View 5-11 — At Mountain View, Joe Serrano had three hits to spark the Hornets’ five-inning victory in the opener.

In the second game, Ivan Maldonado had three hits and four RBIs for Beatty.

Mountain View’s Trevor Van Kempen had six hits and five RBIs in the doubleheader.
