ROUNDUP: Coronado blows lead but outlasts Shadow Ridge

Tyler Brown led off the bottom of the sixth inning with a triple and scored the go-ahead run on a single by Miles Bice as Coronado outslugged visiting Shadow Ridge 14-13 on Monday.

The Cougars took a 10-0 lead into the fifth, but Shadow Ridge plated six runs in the fifth and sixth innings to tie the game at 12.

Brown then tripled and scored the go-ahead run, and Bice came home on an error to give the Cougars an insurance run.

Brown was 3-for-4 with two runs, and Michael Pollex went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs for Coronado. Kaleb Blyton was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Cougars.

Chad Rillos was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI to lead the Mustangs. Josh Roelofs went 3-for-4 with a triple and a run, and Logan Hold was 3-for-5 with a run for Shadow Ridge.

Rancho 17, Northridge (Colo.) 7 — At Rancho, Nick Chavez was 2-for-4 with five RBIs as the Rams routed the Grizzlies in five innings.

Chavez had a bases-loaded triple, and Dylan Pletsch went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs for Rancho, which had a pair of seven-run innings.

Jose Verdugo was 2-for-2 with three runs for the Rams.
