Roundup: Centennial rallies to stun Faith Lutheran in 7th

Centennial’s baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to overcome a 2-0 deficit and beat visiting Faith Lutheran on Monday, 3-2.

Nik Dobar started the Centennial seventh with a walk, then singles by Trevor Wright and Kian Wilbur scored Dobar. Austin Kryszczuk reached on an error and Wright scored to tie the game, and Kris Bow’s single scored Wilbur to win it.

Dobar pitched a complete game, and allowed four hits and struck out six.

Josh Brown threw six strong innings for the Crusaders, but took the loss. Sagan Gronauer had a double for Faith Lutheran.

Shadow Ridge 13, Legacy 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Tyler Black hit a grand slam and finished with five RBIs as the Mustangs rolled over the Longhorns.

Trent McGregor went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs for the Mustangs, who scored nine runs in the fourth inning.

Kristian Saldana, Jax Holzem and Austin Coller each scored twice for Shadow Ridge. Tyler Vizcarra threw all five innings and allowed one earned run with seven strikeouts to get the win.

Western 9, The Meadows 8 — At Western, Mark Gastelum went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs as the Warriors lost an early lead but rallied to beat the Mustangs in a six-inning game.

Tanner Sytko and Michael Davison each doubled for Western, and teammate Christopher Williams went 2-for-4.

Western scored six in the first to take a 6-1 lead. The Meadows scored five to tie it in the fifth, took the lead in the sixth, but the Warriors took the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth.

Chaparral 11, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Chaparral, Antonio Vara and Robert O’Connor combined on a five-inning no-hitter as the Cowboys beat the Miners.

Vara struck out nine in four hitless innings to get the win. O’Connor struck out one and allowed an unearned run in the fifth.

James Cobian went 3-for-4 with two runs to lead the offense.

Silverado 11, Canyon Springs 3 — At Silverado, Tyler Paasche allowed two earned runs on five hits in five inningsas the Skyhawks defeated the PIoneers.

Paasche struck out 11.

Silverado’s Dax Fellows and Grant McCarty each hit a double.

Luis Osorio-Avila hit a double, and Trevor Berkemeyer hit a triple for the Pioneers.

Palo Verde 13, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Palo Verde, Jaret Godman had three RBIs, two runs and pitched a five-inning complete game as the Panthers routed the Spartans.

E.J. Arnold homered for the Panthers, who scored nine runs in the first inning.

Godman, Nate Bartlett, Peyton Cole, Josiah Cromwick and Austin Raleigh each doubled for Palo Verde. Cole and Arnold each scored twice.

Basic 19, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Jesse Fonteboa went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs, and two runs as the Wolves rolled past the Sundevils.

Basic’s Kai Symonds tossed two innings and struck out five to earn the victory. John Howard Bobo went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two stolen bases, Garrett Giles went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored, and Christian Rivero went 2-for-2 with three runs, a double, and two RBIs.

Logan Spaur went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs for the Wolves, and Kyle Cazett and Kyle Turner each hit a double.

Eldorado’s Christian Younger and Sebastian Snyder each had one hit.

SLAM Academy 23, Calvary Chapel 2 — At Calvary Chapel, Brandon Escobar went 4-for-4 with a home run, three doubles and five RBIs as the Bulls beat the Lions.

Ozzy Zawislak went 3-for-4 with four RBIs for the Bulls.
