ROUNDUP: Burrola caps late rally to help Cougars edge Patriots

Julian Burrola hit an RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday to give Coronado’s baseball team a 3-2 win over visiting Liberty.

Burrola scored Miles Bice, who had singled in the tying run with one out in the inning. Coronado had just three hits in the game.

Jesse Keiser went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored for Liberty.

Foothill 4, Green Valley 2 — At Foothill, Bligh Madris went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, and the Falcons scored all four of their runs in the bottom of the sixth to edge the Gators.

Dayton Kurian went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Foothill, which had four extra-base hits.

Brandon Van Stone pitched a three hitter with four strikeouts to get the win.

Sunrise Mountain 6, Chaparral 5 — At Chaparral, the Miners scored six runs in the top of the fourth inning to edge the Cowboys.

Ricardo Corral and Trey Smith each supplied an RBI single and a run scored for Sunrise Mountain, which had just three hits.

Silverado 9, Basic 4 — At Basic, Vince Taormina and Bryan Faucher had back-to-back homers in the top of the third inning to spark the Skyhawks to a win over the Wolves.

Taormina added a double, and Faucher went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs for Silverado, which also got a double from Wyatt Reid

Winning pitcher Josh Bravin went the distance for the Skyhawks, scattering four hits.

Desert Pines 10, Canyon Springs 0 — At Desert Pines, Juan Cruz went 4-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI as the Jaguars rolled past the Pioneers.

Roberto Hernandez pitched a three-hit shutout for Desert Pines, striking out six with no walks.

Saul Navarette went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and three RBIs for the Jaguars ,who scored six in the fourth inning.

Rancho 12, Valley 2 — At Rancho, the Rams scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning and cruised to a five-inning victory over the Vikings.

Bryce Harrell went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and a run for Rancho, which got three hits, two RBIs and two runs from Jose Verdugo. Keifer McLendon tossed a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and two walks to earn the win.

Del Sol 12, Tech 0 — At Del Sol, Jamie Giunta had a double and four RBIs to lead the Dragons past the Roadrunners.

Dylan Greer added two hits and two RBIs, and Danny Ortega and Brandon Hubbs each supplied two singles for Del Sol.

Shawn Kobiela allowed one hit over four innings with four strikeouts to get the win.

Boulder City 7, The Meadows 6 — At Boulder City, Micheal Hernandez went 3-for-3, including the game-winning RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, as the Eagles nipped the Mustangs.

Bill Barth was 3-for-4 with three runs, and an RBI for Boulder City. Aubrey Wrightsman supplied a double and three RBIs for the Eagles.

Pahranagat Valley 13, Mountain View 2 — At Mountain View, Derek Hansen belted a three-run homer, and Kade Wadsworth went 4-for-4 with a run scored as the Panthers downed the Saints in six innings.

Winning pitcher Tyler Higbee struck out seven in four innings and stroked a double for Pahranagat Valley, which scored 10 runs in the second inning.

Laughlin 13-11, Sandy Valley 0-1 — At Laughlin, the Cougars limited the Sidewinders to five total hits in the doubleheader sweep.

Indian Springs 17, Lake Mead 7 — At Indian Springs, Devan Jackson went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs as the Thunderbirds defeated the Eagles in five innings.
