ROUNDUP: Bonnell lifts Bulldogs past Mustangs

Bryan Bonnell tossed a four-hitter and went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored Wednesday to lift Centennial’s baseball team to a 5-2 win at Shadow Ridge.

Austin Nelson was 2-for-4 with a double and a run for the Bulldogs.

Keith Krueger finished 2-for-4 with two runs for the Mustangs.

Sierra Vista 11, Desert Oasis 5 — At Sierra Vista, Loren Cutolo’s three-run double keyed a six-run sixth inning as the Mountain Lions downed the Diamondbacks.

Daniel Gonzales and Robert Lee each went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Sierra Vista.

Jossaiah Raval, Cody Schmidt and Tyler Condie each homered for Desert Oasis.

Durango 11, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Jacob Dismont was 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs to help the Trailblazers to the five-inning win.

Dismont also picked up the victory, allowing two hits in four innings of work.

Johnny Wright went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Durango.

Faith Lutheran 18, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, J.B. Eary went 3-for-3 with a double and four runs as the Crusaders routed the Desert Shields in five innings.

Tyler Trageton was 2-for-3 with four RBIs for Faith Lutheran.

Erich Uelman allowed just one hit over four innings to earn the win, and he also tripled for the Crusaders.

Cimarron-Memorial 18, Palo Verde 4 — At Cimarron, Josh Nuernberg, Tanner McAninch and Matt Painter each went 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs and three RBIs as the Spartans routed the Panthers in five innings.

Jayson Hicks was 2-for-3 with a double, a run and three RBIs, and Dominic Calabria was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and three RBIs for Cimarron, which scored 11 runs in the third inning.

Niko Decolati and Effie Garcia each added two hits for the Spartans.

Jordan Benson and Kevin DeSoto each homered for Palo Verde.

Bonanza 9, Western 1 — At Bonanza, Braiden Gray and Mike Hoyes combined on a one-hitter to help the Bengals top the Warriors.

David Estrada went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Daniel Romero was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Bonanza.

Jake Zebe was 3-for-4 with a double for the Bengals.

Daniel Buzzard smacked a double for Western, which scored its run in the first. 

Arbor View 11, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Tyler LeBaron, Zach Quintana and Ryan Chen hit consecutive home runs in the top of the sixth inning to propel the Aggies to a six-inning win over the Longhorns.

Josh Torres went 2-for-2 with an RBI double to lead Legacy.

Mater Dei (Calif.) 10, Bishop Gorman 3 — At Cary, N.C., the Monarchs used an eight-run third inning to top the Gaels in the National High School Invitational.

Justin Jones was 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Tyler Baker and Johnny Sewald each went 2-for-3 for Gorman.

Rancho 5, Foothill 3 — At Rancho, Keifer McLendon’s game-tying RBI double sparked a three-run sixth inning to allow the Rams to top the Falcons.

Bryce Harrell went 2-for-3 and scored a run for Rancho.

Janson Neff went 3-for-3 for Foothill.

Mojave 13, Moapa Valley 12 — At Mojave, Ryan Lawrence’s bases-loaded infield single in the bottom of the seventh inning plated Brian Ramos with the winning run as the Rattlers nipped the Pirates.

Anthony Walker went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI for Mojave, which led 8-1 after the first inning, but had to score once in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game.

Green Valley 18, Cheyenne Mountain (Colo.) 8 — At Green Valley, Bradon Rogers was 3-for-3 with a triple, a double and three runs as the Gators topped the Indians in six innings.

Derrick Harmon went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Alec Hutt doubled twice for Green Valley.

Rock Canyon (Colo.) 12, Eldorado 4 — At Eldorado, the Jaguars broke a 3-3 tie with nine runs in the top of the fifth inning and topped the Sundevils.

Brandon Gallegos was 2-for-4 for Eldorado.

Clark 10, Virgin Valley 7 — At Mesquite, winning pitcher Jeremy Erlin and Shane McLin each doubled in the Chargers’ win over the Bulldogs.
