Bishop Gorman baseball player Austin Wells has been selected to play in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game.
Wells was a first-team all-state selection as a utility player after his junior season this spring. He batted .500 with eight home runs and 47 RBIs while seeing time at designated hitter, first base, third base, shortstop and catcher. He is listed as a catcher in the Under Armour press release.
Wells, who has committed to play at Arizona, was one of seven players added to the Under Armour game rosters on Friday. The game will be played at Wrigley Field in Chicago on Saturday, July 29 and will be televised by the MLB Network.
